Nicol3 Posted January 1, 2020 #1 Posted January 1, 2020 Hey guys! What's up? I hope everybody had a very nice Media Noche together with your family and the people you love the most. Today I just wanna open up a topic about this popular line which we can almost read or hear on all casinos may it be a landbase or an online casino. "Only Gamble What You Can Afford To Lose" The big question to all of us Stakers is, do you live with it? We all know that gambling addiction is one of the most difficult to diagnose. Mostly because almost all the time every gambler wether addicted or just a social gambler is in denial of themselves. And worst, addicted gamblers tend to keep everything a secret with themselves. Do you think it is good or bad to keep it as a secret? Especially when you are on the stage that you are really in need of attention based on your own self assessment yet you are afraid to let someone notice and you continue to deny it. I was once in that situation honestly speaking and so I have learned my lessons the hard way. Though I am proud I was able to overcome this and finally live day by day with this simple motto yet meaningful but taken for granted by some. So to prove it I am attaching here my most recent deposits here at Stake. Please don;t laugh at me nor call me cheap. Hahaha! This is just to dare those who say they do live by the saying yet can't prove it. Are you in or out? I will be glad to read your comments and if possible to see howyour most recent deposits reflect on your personality as a Staker.

When i bust my 180 xrp, that day i never depo again but i always withdraw weekly from free money from forum, telegram challenge and rain. Some people call me farmers but because of what i experience. that 180xrp is my 2 weeks allowance so i`m frustrated when it got bust. The positive side is that i withdraw something from nothing. its been a month without a deposit but i always withdraw twice a week. So there is a advantage in my side too. but your style is not cheap its call strategy deposit a small amount then withdraw a big amount. its cool tho deposit 2xrp then withdrawing 50xrp. thats something, i am amaze with you
sheenazbay Posted January 1, 2020 #4 Posted January 1, 2020 When you play gambling, there are only two possibilities that occur, namely winning or losing. This will also affect the consideration of whether you will return to gambling or decide to stop playing. However, there is a phenomenon that is often questioned, that is, when someone loses continuously, even in large enough quantities, why is someone still addicted to gambling?
Ayesha0770 Posted January 1, 2020 #5 Posted January 1, 2020 Yes I do (even thou I haven't deposited since the 2nd one and I think almost 2weeks and half now)
rararararay08 Posted January 1, 2020 #6 Posted January 1, 2020 Yeah i live with this motto and i will not break it. If you lived by this motto that means you are well disciplined and you manage your limitations. Breaking this motto means you get addicted. By the way here's my proof that i am living with this motto. This is my recent deposits and this is all i can risk.
Aazzah Posted January 1, 2020 #7 Posted January 1, 2020 hey nicol3, yes, i live by this motto. I believe anyone and i mean anyone, should not gamble if they can't afford it. It is such a bad idea and can get you in debt and can just make you an addict.
sahil777 Posted January 1, 2020 #8 Posted January 1, 2020 i strictly follow that rule i never dposit any money which i needed most like few people do and then cry after loss, and also i dont take loans to gamble, i mean if you are doing this then man you have serious gambling problem and you need rehab, because you cant kill yourself just to gamble, and you are not only making your life tough but also you are puting your family in danger situation as well.
williamshennie9 Posted January 1, 2020 #9 Posted January 1, 2020 There is no shame in making small deposits at all. I mean, you are better off than those users who sell things to gamble, and maybe steal money from their family just go gamble. Well done!
ThomasTV2 Posted January 1, 2020 #10 Posted January 1, 2020 I also dont play too big. Thats for a few reasons. The main one is I just dont think I should be spending my time gambling in long sessions. I gamble to have fun, to blow off some steam from time to time. But I never EVER go in expecting to win big. I will also attach a screenshot of my recent deposits, I commend you for starting this topic. Its really a hard thing to do. I also commend everyone who commented and who are open to looking at themselves to see if they have a problem. TL:DR: I know when its time for me to stop. yes, its hard too. But I can do it! If anyone here ever has any addiction problem PLEASE write me. I would love to help.
Thepug Posted January 5, 2020 #11 Posted January 5, 2020 I live by this motto on every gambling site that I play for. I never make any large deposits, since there is an opportunity cost for this money and it could have been spent elsewhere. I've said this so many times to people and at the same time, they either don't want to listen or their greed takes over. Everyone's different though and they have their own beliefs. Some people simply don't care and they put a lot of their money in, even making a lot of it back. I once saw a show where a man put all of his life's savings on a colour on the roulette wheel and won! At the same time, he could have lost everything and he would have been extremely depressed over it.
lysagrey Posted January 21, 2021 #12 Posted January 21, 2021 Not always but it is worth the consideration that is for sure. I have been gambling not that long ago but it has been a lot of fun that is for sure. I have been starting it just before the lock-downs were introduced in place and it has been a great way to pass the time. I have tried a few different online casino rooms throughout the months but the one I like the most is probably this one: https://yummyspins.com/ . I have stumbled on them on my own while I was browsing the internet and kind of got hooked. They have a lot of different games there as well as decent bonus programs for not only newbies but also experienced players. I think that if you guys are interested in something new you should give it a try
PowerOfThree Posted January 22, 2021 #13 Posted January 22, 2021 Hey Nicol3, what i do is control myself when i stopp having fun and start risking my real life goals i stop
nhoyasim101 Posted January 22, 2021 #14 Posted January 22, 2021 fact is we gamble in gambling simply to win,,, that's our goal, but if we are in opposite side which is losing, we want our money back, if losing continue that's the time of that famous word in online gambling. in real life its really hard to stop when you are losing stage that's because they want their money back, few succeeded but lots lost what they have, i have a neighbor who lost everything like car, jewelries, pawn their house and everything they have, in a real casino, which is really scary, for those who have limited bankroll like me , that famous line in online casino must take seriously, never gamble the money that you cannot afford to loss. control control and control is the key in gambling
PlummetBravely Posted January 23, 2021 #15 Posted January 23, 2021 I definitely do my best to. Some days are definitely harder than others. It's easy to not gamble for me when I'm winning. It's next to impossible for me to not game when I'm losing. We all certainly should.
Pipermania Posted January 29, 2021 #16 Posted January 29, 2021 Of course gambling games are dangerous, but I guess that here everything depends on us. I have friends who play online casino for years and they don't have any addictions. I guess that people who have casino addiction are those who have nothing to lose. Everyone knows how dangerous is to start playing it and that consequences can be very bad. In my case I always play something only for fun. I look for simple gambling games that will bring me some money, if I'm lucky lol, or I'll lose but not a big amount. By the way, now I'm playing an online casino malaysia https://s188wins.com/web/live-casino and I like it. here everything is simple and easy. Be smart and strong only then you won't know what addiction means. Good luck!
Daddio51 Posted January 30, 2021 #18 Posted January 30, 2021 You have to because you can lose unlimited amount of money.
8lowie Posted January 30, 2021 #20 Posted January 30, 2021 Unfortunately not, however I do try preach it to other people. I'm a degenerate and never made a single withdraw over 3 crypto sites, but still continue to gamble.
Metalkingz Posted January 30, 2021 #21 Posted January 30, 2021 i only put around 10 to 20 dollars in the account once a month

I'm a degenerate and never made a single withdraw over 3 crypto sites, but still continue to gamble. The VERY FIRST step that you should take when you win "big" for the first time (the definition of big is different for everyone), is to withdraw that money. Not cause you don't want to continue to push for more winnings, but because you want to get used to the idea of withdrawing. I learned from my mistake on PokerStars... I was always depositing... $100, $200, $300, 400$, $500... Lost it ALL and never once withdrew. Luck was just bad. Then one day, I deposited 20 dollars and turned it into 200-300 dollars playing Blackjack. The next day I went back down to $100, but I was tilted and I just decided u know what? Fk it, it was only a $20 deposit anyway and ripped it all-in to play 100 dollars per hand of Blackjack... Eventually, due to some luck, I went on a streak and settled on an 1800 dollar profit. Or so I thought. I left the money in the PokerStars account because I figured "Oh it's easy cause I can play again tomorrow"... The next day I played $50-100 per hand (reasonable considering my earlier profit), and I went on an absolute tear... And I mean that negatively. LOL. I remember the very last hand, I had $800 left, and I put $400 down... Had to double due to 11 vs a 4... Doubled and got 13. And dealer didn't bust. Lost my $1800 profit AND I deposited even more money to chase that $1800 again (even though at the time I did feel that it was likely a lost cause).
