Mikehoncho Posted January 1, 2020 #1 Posted January 1, 2020 https://u.today/self-proclaimed-satoshi-craig-wright-to-receive-8-bln-worth-of-bitcoin-today Today marks the day self proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto, A.k.a Craig Wright, head of the Bitcoin S.V. is supposed to receive over 1 million Bitcoin from a trust he and former partner David Klienman founded in 2011. Mr. Wright has made claims that he is the inventor of Bitcoin for years without providing any actual evidence. The private keys for the wallet containing the coins from the Genesis block, the first block on the blockchain, were lost on a laptop according to Wright making it impossible for him to prove himself with a signature. If he does in fact receive the coins from the tulip trust it would prove he is the originator of the currency we all use. I guess we will just have to see what happens. Personally, I don't believe he is Satoshi. What do you think?
ThomasTV2 Posted January 1, 2020 #2 Posted January 1, 2020 I don’t ever think that the real creator of Bitcoin would ever come forward. The Bitcoin network is based on proof, open, real proof. this should be super interesting to watch unfold. Thanks for this post. Had no clue this was going on!
seanwattson Posted January 1, 2020 #3 Posted January 1, 2020 When and where is this supposed to happen? I, personally, really don't beleive it but I have been wrong plenty of times in my life. I think that if he did do it though it would be good for btc and the community. I beleive the price would also rise and all other alt coins following suit. I will sit back and wait though while not holding my breath.
Seoulmate Posted January 2, 2020 #4 Posted January 2, 2020 no matter what proof he has or doesnt have those who support him will cheer him on, those who dont will not.
Kingcashedout Posted January 2, 2020 #5 Posted January 2, 2020 i think he is the creator... i doubt he would continue claiming hes the creator knowing that time will tell the truth...and if he is in fact the creator n recieves all that bitcoin the price wont rise its gonna take a nose dive
wry Posted January 2, 2020 #6 Posted January 2, 2020 I didn't think he was Satoshi at all, just some blow hard. Then I realized that he really did apparently mine around a million bitcoins in the early days and so it doesn't matter if he's Satoshi, he's got a million Bitcoins. Wowza. He can crash the market, make SV worth 100K USD each, who knows. It's scary. I'd say right now he's the biggest risk to Bitcoin and if I wake up tomorrow and the coin is trading at 100 USD I will know why.

I did not even think of that, thats really scary that just with one guy can do that lol.

cryptofly Posted January 5, 2020 #9 Posted January 5, 2020 With 1 million bitcoins in a wallet there is no need to proclaim he is Satoshi Nakamoto. What for? Despite the fact that he could be who says he is, as many "enemies" he has, the price will go down and fast as we can imagine, and he will get a huge loss on his "investment" same as we all will. We don´t need a ordinary no trusted Satoshi Nakamoto, keep him in the dark, where Satoshi belongs. My opinion.
