When I heard the news of it I instantly had flashbacks to the recent terror attacks in 2017. I quickly cleared my mind on that topic tho because I have enough of stress myself and dont want to think about that all the time. But when I was looking at some bitcoin news today I found an interesting article. https://cointelegraph.com/news/parcel-bomber-in-germany-demands-10-mln-ransom-in-bitcoin The attacker of that bomb demands a 10 million ransom paid in bitcoin. In the "bomb", which was actually just a package full of fireworks and nails with no way to detonate it from the far, he put a QR code directing to his wallet. I didnt believe it at first and did some research on this case. The attacker tried to blackmail the german christmas markets and told them there could've been serious injuries when they do not pay him. What do you think about criminals using bitcoin as a way of blackmailing people/states?

KNOWN Posted December 10, 2017 #3 Posted December 10, 2017 I think is quite scary actually, with bitcoin being untraceable to an extent and ways to mix bitcoins and make them completely untraceable it is more advantages for criminals to demand bitcoin at this point

German police departements didnt reveal anything yet but I dont think they'ld pay him that much...
