vicente Posted February 16, 2020 #1 Posted February 16, 2020 Hello, I am new to soccer betting, just about a couple of months now , and what I have been trying to indentify are value bets, wich I realize now is a very difficult task. I would apreciatte your ideas on what I am doing and what I could do to improve my method , right now I am doing this : Every hour I download the odds of about 250 soccer matches from Pinnacle, and other bookies I remove the vig from each Odd , and then compare each of the odds from the different bookies with the closing odds from Pinnacle, and if there is an edge (at least 1%), I bet on that . My doubt is, what I should consider the "true odd"? is that the pinnacle closing odd? or the average of the last 5 odds from Pinnacle ? or the average of all Pinnacle odds for that game since the beggining ? or perhaps the average of the best odds from different bookies? I have even heard that some betors consider the true odd, the first one set by Pinnacle wich would be calculated by their experts and still not affected by supply and demand. Depending on the criteria of "true odd", the betting decisions will be completely different. For example if I consider the true odd to be the Pinnacle closing odd, it will be hard to find a bookie that offers an edge against that , and that is because Pinnacle odds are the most competitive in the market Any toughts about this ? thanks a lot
