A total of 10 teams will be participating in the event & a total of 23 matches will be played among them. Australia, England & India start as favourites with defending champion Australia being the most successful team having won this title four times. The final is scheduled in historic MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). The opening match of the event is going to be a heavyweight clash between Australia & India. Australia - At first glance, any cricket fan will give meg Lanning's led Australian team the edge to lift the trophy. They have a fiery batting line up followed by a clinical bowling attack. At the top of the order, they have one of the best in business - Alyssa Healy, who has scored runs at an average in shade of 40+ last year. Her form in last 7-8 matches is a point of concern for Australia & her form will determine how Australia go with their campaign. They do have some furious batting elsewhere however. with Gardner, Lanning, Haynes, Perry and Mooney filling the rest of the top order. They have a clinical bowling line up as well which includes Jonassen, Schutt & Vlaeminck. Jonassen also picked up a 5 wicket haul in her last T20 match, which is quite incredible. All in all they are strongest contender to win this tournament. INDIA - When big matches comes, India tend to always up their standards. This team has all the weapons which are required to win big tournaments. Their biggest trump card is Smriti Mandhana who rarely fails with the bat. They have some new faces coming up in Shafali Verma & Richa Ghosh who performed incredibly well in their last tri-series. Their X-Factor without question is their big hitter and their finisher, Harmanpreet Kaur - who also happens to be their captain! Their bowling stocks look a bit average with Pandey & Vastrakar as their main pacers, amongst a big army of spinners with the likes of Deepti,Rradha, Kaur & Gayakwad. England - England will be looking to make greatness here, escaping their underachieving stigma that has plagued them for some time. They have got some fine talent in their top order with the likes of Jones & Wyatt followed by some experience of Knight, Beaumont & Sciver. Their bowling isn't consistent enough to find crucial breakthroughs, as has shown in recent matches. Eccelestone, Brunt & especially Shrubsole have to step up in this tournament if they are to have success.
