Thepug Posted March 3, 2020 #1 Posted March 3, 2020 Being someone that loves a bit of the action on the forum, I am always one of the first people to complete a forum challenge. However, the sports challenges with the 11k satoshi (or equivalent bets) with the 0.08 BTC prize pool, just seem impossible for me. Personally, I think that if they reduced the min bet to something like 2.5k satsohi (or equivalent) and they lowered the prize pool, they would see a lot more people taking part. The last one only had around 6 winners, which shouldn't be the case on a forum challenge You guys can see how many people completed the last one:
ZangerRinus Posted March 3, 2020 #2 Posted March 3, 2020 Although I did made them, the one of this week did I made with 10k sats instead of 11k, so I have to give it another try, no idea how that happend. The first one who replied did also pick a wrong minimum bet, which is even more weird, but that's not where it goes about right now :). I do understand what you are saying This week we are with only 4 winners. Should the prize pool be different from the other challenges? Personally I don't think so (in case they get more popular). But it's also because this kind of challenges are new and people have to find their way to it that they are not yet that popular. Another but, I think to get more people involved to these challenges that the minimum amounts are a bit to high. (also why don't you pick the minimum bet amount in btc an amount which soesn't change like in the casino ones? which doesn't mean it has to be 100 sats too.) On the other side if you make the minimum bets too low, more people will try, but the challenge might become 'too easy' in that case. I hope I'm not speaking for myself, but it is still called a challenge, so it may be a 'challenge' (do-able ofcourse).

It isn’t in the site’s interest that only a couple of people are winning and completing the challenges, like what you are suggesting. They would want more people to take part, since more customers means they are retained. Yes, it might be in your interest that only a couple people win, but that isn’t going to be profitable for stake.
jamesbond Posted March 3, 2020 #4 Posted March 3, 2020 I don't think low minimum is needed here. There is still a low minimum weekly challenge going on every week and users can try that. Bigger reward pool with bigger bets is having another group of people trying to get that challenge. By winning these challenge people take bigger rewards and that is better than getting too low rewards which don't even justify the amount wagered to get that challenge.
