Alther Posted March 10, 2020 #1 Posted March 10, 2020 Investment trends among millennials in Indonesia are on the rise. Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the number of investors in the 18-25 year age category jumped to 120.6 percent between 2016 and 2018. Not only choosing traditional investment instruments such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, millennial also began to invest funds in the form of cryptocurrency. Since its popularity soared in 2015, Bitcoin is known as the first digital asset to be a pioneer of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Bitcoin itself is a cryptocurrency that is not managed by banks or agencies. However, all Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public blockchain. Transactions are traded using 'key' access which acts like a wallet. The value of Bitcoin continues to increase rapidly, even reaching its highest peak at the end of 2017, where the valuation reaches Rp 275 million (USD 20,000) for 1 Bitcoin. Based on a price analysis by Wall Street research firm, Fundstrat Global Advisors, when the value of Bitcoin exceeds the 200-day Moving Average, the average price increase in the next six months will reach 197 percent. Therefore, they predict that the price of Bitcoin will reach a high increase in July or August 2020. In addition, popular soccer clubs such as Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. has also accepted the concept of digital currency. They collaborated with CoinDeal to promote the use of cryptocurrency. "At CoinDeal, we have committed to ensuring transaction security and upholding the principles of good investment. Through this collaboration, we want to introduce the world of the blockchain to the public through sports, and we find many digital currency enthusiasts here, "Alex concluded.
Sumedang Posted March 10, 2020 #2 Posted March 10, 2020 yes I also had time to read articles that discuss the same thing. I think that is the amount of money needed because this will increase the amount of money spent in Indonesia, and investing in crypto can be an option. Where we all know that the profit potential in crypto is large and it can be attractive to millennials.
cryptonesiac Posted March 10, 2020 #3 Posted March 10, 2020 I think especially if you're young and you can put away a bit of money, you should go for something that has a huge potential, such as crypto... Even if you do not gain anything in the next 5 year, you still have plenty of time to earn money and put it away in something more stable (and boring).
Ali saher Posted March 11, 2020 #4 Posted March 11, 2020 I think now so many young people attract on exchange . And so many young people invest in crypto currency.
Etude Posted March 11, 2020 #5 Posted March 11, 2020 Sure of course they should since its a valuable kind of new generation investment, but only if they can afford the risk of losses.
