$10k Races and How It Affects Us

The nCOVID-19 virus has affected our daily lives, sports and so on. Now it also affected our races.

From a post made by Eddie we came to know that these $10k races were introduced due to the absence of sports. The race is indeed a good attraction for large volume players, but I think the other people who play with quite a limited balance won't really like this idea of racing. Because you can wager a lot with a low balance for 120 minutes but it's hard for you to race for 24 hours and get a place in the top 100s. So many people aren't quite interested about this race idea.

I think if this race idea continues, you guys should increase the number of winners because that'd also work as a boost for more players to come forward and race for glory. This is just my personal opinion. Feel free to criticize and give your thoughts on this.

I was shocked as well that the races went 24 hours long. A while ago, I was about to check my current race position and I saw that I was at 3k plus position. And I was like, "what???? There has never been this many at races" the I saw that they turned it into 24 hours long. Anyway, it's not a big deal for me because that is how the races at primedice goes. But maybe for some, maybe they will not favor it.

I usually take part in one or two races per week and sometimes more but I will never attempt to be in the top 100s of a 24h race. It's not for me. And I'm sure it is affecting many regular racers.

it will be very difficult for others to race especially to those players who have a very limited balance. since this is a 24 hour race, there is alot of time for a player to bust, thus the need for a bigger bankroll and strict money management.

It is a long duration, yes. You race, sleep, wake up and race again.

That's my main point here. These races aren't quite suitable for low volume players with limited balance enough to race for 2 hours.

low roller player dont even participate in 120 minutes race dude, so it is not affecting anyone, high rollers always wins the race, and the same people in 24 hours race, i never tried for race, because i know i cant even take 50th position, so for low rollers its better if you play for profit, not for race.

yeah 24hrs race is to long. but every one has an option to participate the race. in my opinion i hope this is just for this week and hopefully next week it will be back to normal race.

Bro, I wager only 0.6-0.7 and get a place between 15-25 in regular race. But today the 50th guy wagered more than 6 BTC which is enough sometimes to even win the regular race. So there are players who are being affected.

I hope so man. I really miss the old races. They were the only occasions when I wager to progress in VIP ranks with some rewards/bonuses.

I really don't like the 24 hours race idea. Not because of anything, but because I am the fast and finish type of race guy. Going 24 hours for racing is annoying and I can never like it. But I understand the reason why Eddie and stake introduced it.

They are into business and they will love to make profit. People are now glued more to screens like never before because of the Calamity we facing as the Human race. And Eddie will want to make more and more profit.

SO more people, more Profit. If people know they can wager for 24 hours and win something, they won't leave their respective screens and they will want to win more by wagering more. Now it's either they bust or they use more time here. Either ways Satke will still end up winning. Good initiative though.

Yes I think for some players not like this 24 hours race because they play limit time they have not so much time for gambling. And if you have small balance you not get any position with this race .but this time so many people not go for job maybe this race good for these players.

The $10000 race hasn't got to plan, in my opinion. The last top 2 were people that had wagered 140 BTC and 160 BTC. This is just way too much money to compete with and make profit with. Even the top 50 had a crazy wager, with it being around 2-5 BTC. The mega race will always be my favourite

Maybe 10 $1000 races with a short span is more appropriate for us, low volume players.

Mine too man. Less time with more rewards. 5000/90 = 55.556 whereas 10000/1440 = 6.944 and the number of winners are the same. 😕

These 24 hours race is common on PD and now they introduced it on Stake as well ... Damn but bringing this 24hour race during Raffle time was a brilliant move by Stake... Now people will wager more and more all day long and they'll get more and more tickets.... Well this killed our hopes of winning the Raffle with low amount of tickets 🤣

Well actually, many of the top racers in these 24h races wager almost all day long but we weren't aware about how much they wager per day. But due to the race, we got to know the amounts. Also, Stake and PrimeDice are not the same. Primedice is only about dice while Stake has a plethora of games to play. So despite being similar 24h races, the wager amount is almost 10x on Stake compared to PrimeDice. I just hope low volume players get a chance to race as well hehe. Now they are mostly focused on profiting as much as they can.

I agree with the point that this 24 hours races are for the big whales to win.  By taking  look to those wagered amounts in the first 24 hours races you can notice how hard will be to win  prize.  The best part is that to race those races is free, and everyday you have the chance to be part of the 100 prize board.  In my particular way of gambling, to be honest, I will never get a prize.  Good luck.

It is quite hard to win compared to other races. And you won't even get your desired top level places with a small wager which would do the trick for small races. I've also seen low wager today compared to the first day. Which implies that many racers are not racing as much they are used to.

I agree with you. with a full day of competition and we have seen in 2 days that the board was inhabited by the same name. and really there is no chance for a small player to win something here.

Especially those players who have very limited balance will find it very difficult to compete.  Since this is a twenty-four hour race, there is plenty of time for any player to venture

The higher ranked players are somewhat professional online gamblers in my opinion. They almost always wager as high as we see now. The difference is that previously we didn't know the volume but now we do, as you said. But I like to race sometimes for progressing in VIP levels as well as for some extra race rewards. Now it's almost impossible for me to cope up with the racers and be in the top 100 without busting my funds. 😅

Exactly. That's one of my points here. Low volume racers would like to race for less time. Like I would welcome 10 $1000 races per day instead of a $10000 race for 24 hours.

There is green side and red side of this.

Of course we want the green side because it means profit. Amid home quarantine and lock down due to covid 19, players have more opportunities.

Opportunities does not always mean green, there are times its red.

Well you are right. But the winners of these races are familiar faces in the regular races. They usually wager a lot more than we used to see in regular races. But now we can see their 24 hour wager statistics. The problem is for low value players who have limited balance to wager for around 2 hours and still get a decent spot. Well I am not taking part in races now. I'm playing mostly for little profits. However I wish the world comes to a shape and our daily lives become enjoyable again.

personally I dont see the attractioni of these races at all. Its a bonus if I happen to place while Im doing normal bets, but it doesnt provide me with any incentive to bet in larger volumes, its  a distraction if anything. Maybe thats just me, if they weren,t profitable stake would not bother with them I guess.

They can be profitable for the players if they have a balance decent enough to both wager big and cover the loss made along the way. I like racing because it's a good occasion for me to wager for the next VIP level and if I place in a good position I get additional something to play with. But the 24 hour races are just not my thing. 🙁
