skillex Posted December 15, 2017 #1 Posted December 15, 2017 Hi guys, I just happen to think how about this happening mafias in internet, the hacking of famous banks, cryptocurrencies, and this so called anonymous and white hat hackers, do you really believe and trust them? I mean can you trust them fully without them showing us their true faces or identities? They are helping really in tracing and shutdowning the sites that this black hat hackers have done. But how about its just like the part of their deal with the Black hat hackers? have you happen to wonder this also? because as time pass by theres still this cybercrime going on despite of how good are our white hat hackers is. I mean I didnt give them the full responsibilty of it because they are just like hereos to us too not wanting for price for the good things they have done. Since they are anonymous white hat hackers and they hide their true identity, have you happen to think that maybe they are just pretending or disguising as the good guy to deal with this black hat hacker? What if they have just a deal with this black hat hacker to make an easy money as we all know they have no legal jobs not all of them but mostly and they also need money like us.

madcoin Posted December 15, 2017 #3 Posted December 15, 2017 improving security not do much i think, cause hacker will always found out how to hack.... security must start from yourself
michbitz Posted December 15, 2017 #5 Posted December 15, 2017 i don't think so..need some additional security
skillex Posted December 15, 2017 Author #6 Posted December 15, 2017 2 minutes ago, chung said: do you think only 2fa will be safe? For me yes, Using passwords only is generally a bad idea, which we have learned since the beginning of the Internet. We are making progress to a password-free world, but in the meantime, many websites offer an additional user account protection with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). In general, there are two types of 2FA implementations: Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) and Universal Second Factor (U2F). You may be familiar with the former, as it is the most commonly used 2FA: at login, you have to enter a one-time code generated by your phone app, a dedicated hardware device, or sent to you via SMS. While simple, there are several shortcomings to this method. How Does TOTP Work? Time-based One-time Password (TOTP), popularized mainly by Google Authenticator, verifies your identity based on a shared secret. This secret must be shared online between you and the provider. When logging into a website, your device generates a unique code, based on the shared secret and the current time. Then you have to manually submit this code. The server generates the exact same thing, based on the same secret, in order to compare and validate the login request.

barbaris Posted December 20, 2017 #12 Posted December 20, 2017 No 100% protection. Hackers sooner or later will find a way to hack into your mind the most complex security system. This is just a matter of time.

If someone could break NASA and governments servers that means anything can be hacked. I believe you also, most specially if theres this compromising of data happening in certain establishment, there will be a leak of data and more easy for hackers to enter.
testB Posted December 21, 2017 #14 Posted December 21, 2017 Got to try and get in a position where you rely on trust the least you can, which might be quite inconvenient for many things. 7 hours ago, barbaris said: No 100% protection. Well I believe this too because of compromising of datas not new today, some expert hackers try to deploy their asset as a worker on a company they want to hack and that asset serves as a spy or a mole.

For hackers, this is a normal job and if they do not improve themselves, they will not earn anything.
