Gamblers ignore facts, and that's a fact.

I don't know if this thing as already been posted here, but I am just going to share my observation. A lot of players tend to discard other player's advice towards "running away" after hitting big or accumulating a huge profit over a running session. There's an explanation to that (second paragraph) but that's not what I am going to ask you here... Let's just first take a closer look on what I mean...

There's a study conducted by professionals and psychologists on how people behave while making risky decisions particularly in casino bets which is what we call "gambler's deceit" and "gambler's fallacy". The phenomena states that as a longer streak occurs (be it winning or losing) a gambler tends to believe it is because of his abilities and not because of luck AND that a hit will come soon because it is already overdue (target not appearing for a very long time) which is actually false.

Now going back to what I really want to know especially from high rollers, aside from this phenomena that relates to how our brain works and how greed can manipulate people to keep on playing, what drives a gambler not to follow a sensible decision (such as cashing out because he is already ahead)? Why do players still want to play even after hitting their promised targets and begin to think "rolling another one won't hurt to make a rain/to increase my winnings" OR "another higher target as a milestone is surely achieveable"? Most importantly, why players think they are going to win against the games where the odds are not stacked in their favor?

if its not gambling, i would say its human nature not only in gambling but in every field you want more and more human's greed can not be end till his death, so if you are saying after gambler got a profit what he wanted still he is not stoping rolling more and more thats because of over confidence, which makes them think that if they won this it means its their day and they can win more and more, which sometimes works but usually not.

I think when game give me good results I take risk because without taking risk you not make good profit. Yes not risky game always give good results but so many time I make small amount to very big amount just within small time. I think for playing high game must need some patience.
