Fiqri Rahardian Posted December 16, 2017 #1 Posted December 16, 2017 what do you feel if bitcoin is banned from your country
bigmaster23 Posted December 16, 2017 #2 Posted December 16, 2017 I've expected for not sleeping about 1 to 1/2 weeks if that is happen I literally could not know what would happen next to me maybe jumping off the cliff or hanging on the tree. I preferred hanging on the tree 'cause it might look me crazy when I outward my tongue. just kidding probably start working some different types of work any work would be much appreciated.
kurian Posted December 16, 2017 #3 Posted December 16, 2017 You can use VPN. Even if btc got banned in your country, only thing government could do is to lock down local exchanges and btc payments within the country.. So, there are many solutions to overcome the problem.
Upsilon Posted December 16, 2017 #4 Posted December 16, 2017 "Banning" bitcoin from a country would be: Ridiculously hard to track. Since BTC is fairly anonymous and unless someone got hold of your BTC address they couldn't really prove you have BTC or are transacting in it. And even if someone did tracking someone down from just an address is tough unless you're pretty careless with your safety Would only be enforceable in the BTC<->Flat pairing since if you transact using anonymous alts and never cash out in "official" traceable methods and only say sell for something like cash locally it's really hard to get caught
rack001 Posted December 16, 2017 #5 Posted December 16, 2017 Governments if needed can take down bitcoin , you could still use it , but buying and selling would be stopped tho ! that would make it harder for users to use btc directly ! This would make the practical value to decrease ! this would make the currency less popular ! People had no interest in bitcoin few months back no one in my country knew bout btc now every other noob is talking bout it , government will be making laws (no laws exist bout btc till now) , and there are talks to ba it completely !So ban would not stop me from using it tho but the real monetary value will be lost for me and other people from my country ! Cause no exchanges would exist and will not be able to transfer to banks !

wilberthh Posted December 16, 2017 #7 Posted December 16, 2017 Not really a big deal I believe, people will always find out another way to buy bitcoin and cash it out

Snike Posted December 16, 2017 #9 Posted December 16, 2017 I dont know how a country wants to ban btc... I thought its 100% anonymous. The only way to shut it down is to shut down every existing wallet and echange...
mmm563 Posted December 17, 2017 #10 Posted December 17, 2017 I have an incomprehensible situation in my country, like they did not forbid me, but they did not allow me to legally ...
skillex Posted December 17, 2017 #11 Posted December 17, 2017 If ever this thing happen in our country then I will be in vain but as what @kurian suggested, yes Ill just use vpn for this to bypass connection but still the Coins.ph that we all filipino's mostly depend on for cashing in and cashing out easily will also be gone if bitcoin be banned.

barbaris Posted December 17, 2017 #13 Posted December 17, 2017 The government wants to take the bitcoins to their hands and tax ordinary people for using bitcoin.
