Beercat Posted April 25, 2020 #1 Posted April 25, 2020 Not much of a competitive gamer although I do play games on steam and mobile. I tried looking at many games on twitch and I simply don't have the understanding to analyst the game properly from experts view. Some games I understand what action is going on but anybody can understand that after being shot by huge gun you are dead 😂 So if you are bettor on esports, what advice would you give me to learn the skill?
Moderator Flan Posted April 25, 2020 Moderator #2 Posted April 25, 2020 I'm taking example for CS:GO Esports. You can look their stats up for example : ADR or "Average damage per round" on CS:GO, or team recent performance between teams that they fought with. It also can be team speciality about the strats, meta, and some understanding about the map. Crucial part was decision making from the team itself, and what they gonna do in the match between enemy team. Each games having different mechanics also, and you can look up players mechanical skills about how much they know the fundamental, tricks, or it can be how you control the characters, every shots, crosshair, controlling spray, and more stuff to look up! Because we still in the gambling contexts, any data just helps us to know who is with better odds, but can't really tell you that you gonna win easy by knowing the data. For Dota 2 or League of Legends, they still having many mechanics and stuff to learn with, and sometimes, these games can't really to be predictable between underdogs or favorites. It still depends on luck sometimes. Maybe like 60 analytics and 40 lucks from 100.

I have seen more successful Sports bettors that Casino players... don’t think that’s a coincidence as the Sports bets being placed are always more purposeful with more thought behind every single bet (since the stake is usually larger). For professional Sports-betting, are there any other factors that they consider apart from the ones that you have mentioned?
Chevcheli0s Posted May 1, 2020 #5 Posted May 1, 2020 Don’t forget...sports betting involves humans. The games here are all computerized and I can’t imagine they’re programmed to lose over an extended period of time...
evet Posted May 1, 2020 #6 Posted May 1, 2020 To learn how sports betting work you need to try it out yourself. Explore how things are with minimum bet amounts.
Arnab12 Posted May 1, 2020 #7 Posted May 1, 2020 eSports betting depends on the understanding of the games. It is very unpredictable. I suggest you to look at stats of the players. It is very important to watch the game which you are betting.
skrieeee Posted May 1, 2020 #8 Posted May 1, 2020 the possible way to know what you're betting on esports is team analysis, knowing their history matches ( if they suck at this map or the team that theyre facing on is bad, and vice versa). ANNNNDDDd... if you're lazy to analyze about their plays, I know a youtuber that gives you the best predictions (csgo only). Even if you dont know how csgo works, you just want profit without knowing it, go here : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT47arjNoZLRNFb7OL4jtQg (this guy has 71% winrate on betting predictions, and I almost tripled my money when I stumbled upon this youtuber. He's not well known, but it will mostly guaranteed that your profit will be tremendous than what youre expecting. am i out of the topic??
talawas Posted May 16, 2020 #9 Posted May 16, 2020 being high ranked in that game also helps. the good dota bettors i know are 4.5k mmr+ (top 5% at least)
Hyipmaster23 Posted May 16, 2020 #10 Posted May 16, 2020 Explore study and you must have the knowledge before making bets there is no sure winner but you can have the luck😊😊😊
rhrhrhrh Posted May 16, 2020 #11 Posted May 16, 2020 For cs:go you can go to hltv, and view all history and stats.
woof30 Posted May 16, 2020 #12 Posted May 16, 2020 You just need to keep watching and learn from the experience. Its a slow process, It takes time but you will grow
Ieatpoo Posted May 23, 2020 #13 Posted May 23, 2020 Actually play the game so you get a feel of what the game is actually like.
xenophobia21 Posted May 23, 2020 #16 Posted May 23, 2020 I'm still learning the ropes BUT I just pick out who I think will win and then let the magic work lol
Shaykac Posted September 15, 2020 #18 Posted September 15, 2020 Just watch the games ( I recommend csgo) and you can also can read bet tips
Ballekake Posted September 16, 2020 #19 Posted September 16, 2020 Watch some games first. Focus on one specific sport and a few teams. See what they do and how they do. Oh, and bet live. Dont do pre-match bets.
DR225 Posted September 16, 2020 #21 Posted September 16, 2020 The same way that you'd take on regular sports betting. Watch the tournaments and familiarize yourself with the winning teams and rosters. You don't necessarily need to know how the actual game works but then you'll need to rely on stats and a math betting approach. Also find some subreddits or whatever where people discuss esports. You should honestly spend years watching esports before placing bets unless you're willing to sacrifice a few bankrolls to gain experience a little quicker. Good luck! Also I don't recommend live betting unless you actually understand what you're watching. Juice gets insane in live betting and you need to know when comebacks are possible and what they look like.
zomat Posted October 21, 2020 #23 Posted October 21, 2020 I really don't know anything about esports.

My advice would be to follow professional esports tipsters to get an idea on what to take into consideration before placing your bet. I used to follow this guy’s tips https://bet-ibc.com/tip/dark-passage-istanbul-fastpay-wildcats/
jordynelson Posted October 24, 2020 #25 Posted October 24, 2020 Betting on league and dota is about understanding the current meta of the game. Some teams excel at certain drafts. Meaning the champs they pick relates to the playstyle. It's a pretty fun thing to get into but it's hopeless unless you understand that. Watch games play the game are ways to get into it however
