If you are an early adopter of BTC and have thousands of them in stock ... at the current price you are probably rich.

But do you need all the money for yourself ? One of the lucky guys answered by "NO" and donates the majority of its coins for good causes. He created Pineapple Fund to share it and organizations that accept Bitcoins can apply on the website.

So far he plan to send 5000 BTC to charities and have already spent 200 of them.

For now 8 charities are supported (Watsi, The Water project, etc ) and they are funded with 50k to 1 million $ each.

They say that the Pineapple Fund is one of the richest 250 bitcoin addresses today (with link to the address and encoded message).

The site : https://pineapplefund.org/

What do you think about it ?

Scam or real philanthropy ? If you have like 10.000 BTC would you keep them for yourself or share them ? Only with close friends/family or with organizations/associations ?

Wooow thats so unselfish. I am not 100% sure if I'ld be able to "give out" so much of my wealth. I obviously dont know how much he got left but it's a bunch of it if he can just give out 86$ mil :o

You can also read the website, it can help ...

I'm an individual. Can I get some bitcoins?

The answer is no. Pineapple Fund is charity, but not that kind of charity.

Please do not apply or email. We have never funded an individual request and we never will.

Definitely not a scam.. The have already published the charities they funded so the system seems transparent.  That guy must have a big heart really appreciate it. I doubt, i would've done the same if i were in his place.

Wow that is so wonderful, the best part of having money is to give it away to help another who actually needs sincere help. And to not expect anything in return. And if they insist on paying you back, tell them that they in the future when they are able to help someone in need then please pay it forward. <3

this always makes my eyes moist lol

If i have such big amount of btc , i will share more than half of it to specific medical research Institutes and some famous children cancer hospitals in my country.

I like their caption : "because once you have enough money, money doesn't matter". Think is true I think :D

But if I have much btc, I'll prefer donating it to other organization myself.

It's good that they have donated to charity than making something for rich people. Hope they will live forever since we can't find such people in life where the money speaks truth.
