We see one recursive question on this forum, popping here and there : what to do with bitcoin(s) ? Selling ? Keep it ? Buy some more ?

The reporter of the article don't have any BTC but over the last 4 years something who stuck with him as the best advice is what give us a great meme in the past : HODL

This meme started here on Bitcointalk exactly 4 years ago : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.0

Basically he explain why the hold strategy is the best : peace of mind. Don't stress about the rises and the drops of the price, don't loose your time to imagine what the coin will be in the future, ... and for me it's the best reason possible. But keeping your BTC in a wallet without moving it also helps to stabilize the price.

He finish by something i really like to read :

Finally, hardcore Bitcoiners will tell you that the blockchain cares not for the worth of fiat money and neither should you—the only thing that matters is holding some satoshis after a coming Bitcoin revolution when everything is counted in BTC.

My personnal opinion is close to that when it come to BTC : I try to win as much satoshis as possible (faucets, mining, casinos, ...), I send them to my wallet and I almost NEVER touch them. The only exceptions are when I invest in some ICO or buy some altcoins when there is no other option.

What about you ?

Think about this: you buyed 10 bitcoin at the price of 100$ per 1 bitcoin. That means an investment of 1000$. You see that the price increased to 500$ but you think to hold it a little more time. You see that the price increased to 2500$ but you still think the price will increase even more. When the price reached 5000$ your bitcoin already worths 50.000$. I guess that everyone would sell their bitcoins because the profit is huge.
