What happen when you launch your wallet ?

Do you already had some dogecoin on it ?

If not just uninstall and reinstall the core wallet. If you already had some coins make a backup of the wallet.dat file, reinstall the core wallet and replace the wallet.dat by your backup.

I can't really comment unless you tell which DOGE wallet you are using. If you are using the core wallet and not the lite wallet then you would need to sync the entire block chain and keep it up to date. Which can mean downloading around 24-25 GB of data and can take hours. The wallet.dat might not be that much of a help if that is the case. I suggest you check Reddit's r/Dogecoin for the guides to "bootstrap" your wallet which I think you speedup the syncing process.

I think all this should be avoided if you simply use the private key and directly "import" the private key to your other wallet. Also dont use an online wallet I suggest using an offline wallet like Jaxxif you dont want to sync the entire blockchain and still have complete control over your funds

I am using the core wallet with 32 bit windows system,  can you let me know how to sync the entire block chain and update it? I was looking for this, but could not find it out.

It says 4 years behind for using wallet in the dashboard.

Try the boot strap then:

1) Download the bootstrap from one of these links (you are going to need a torrent client)

Magnet Link:

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:9BFE8E4324EBE0E6F0CF25B3C6C4825A4C2E2238&dn=doge-bootstrap-2017-08-01&tr=http%3a%2f%2ftracker.opentrackr.org%3a1337%2fannounce

 Or torrent link:

http://insecure.cjk.ovh/doge-bootstrap-2017-08-01.torrent

Next copy paste the torrented bootstrap file which should named 'bootstrap.dat' file into the "dogecoin" sub directory which should vary depending on the operating system you use.

For a detailed guide:

Use Jaxx that is the wallet I use. It is very easy to use and I think it even has a chrome addon. It's a couple of Mb at it's best and also supports like 10 other currencies )Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Augur, Salt, Civic, Qtum, Blockchain Capital, Bancor, and dozens of other blockchain-based assets)

For me, i just put it on exchange sites like they offer just a low fee for withdrawals... there are many of them on site just research it, and be sure to read their reviews about their sites before you put your coins there....
