@Dan was also talking about going all in on ripple when it was less than $1 IIRC

I'll follow this topic now. Good luck to everybody!

Sweet! How many ripples you got?

I thought the price of ripple will fall once it reach $1.50 + but it doesn't! Too bad I didn't bought it.

Sold part of my XRP at 2.1$ to buy some Cardano and Stella Lumens (just before those 2 rise high too so i'm not complaining ^^) and still hold 65% of the amount I bought initially around 0.25$.

So why is Ripple going up so high lately? Is this all because the Asian banks have taken it on?

The CEO of ripple said recently: “We have over 100 banks working with Ripple today around the world."

I love the quote here too:

"So today if you wanted to send $10,000 to London right now, the fastest way to do that is to drive to Newark or JFK and fly it there...

Our view is in a world of the internet when you can stream video from the space station, you should be able to do real-time settlement between banks we sell the technology to banks to do that.”

There's a video from CEO here: https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/899821/bitcoin-price-update-Ripple-latest-news-XRP-Brad-Garlinghouse-cryptocurrency

Ripple is meant to be a centralized coin which puts me off -_- But it has a very fast transaction speed, like less than 10 seconds if i'm not mistaken? which makes it a very impressive coin.

Too bad, they lied about the coinbase listing otherwise it would be like $4 now I think.

Yes something feels very dirty when you talk about centralized blockchains, but I guess if any coin had a legit justification for being centralized it would be ripple (as it's designed for use by banks).

I think we've all got used to the forever and a day transaction speeds of bitcoin, I was transferring some digital price coins earlier, into a local wallet, and was in shock when 10 confirmations happened in about 10 minutes haha.

What did they lie about on coinbase?

Maybe you can read it here : https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinbase-rejects-ripple-integration-rumors-currencys-market-cap-drops-22-billion

The owner is insanely rich right now as well, richer than mark zuckerberg (owner of facebook.com!!) because of ripple :

EDIT : He is richer only for few hours!! D:

I don't get it why people are speaking about centralized or decentralized coin when it come to the valuation of the coin. Who cares ? Everyday on stock market people buy centralized market assets. That has nothing to do with the price, even if it's in crypto. The centralize/decentralize debate is technical, ideologic or whatever but not financial.

What could impact the price is the fact that "only" 100 banks are maybe using the coin, imagine if all of them use it ? Will impact the price for sure.

On the other hand you could say the coin is already too expensive. 100,000,000,000 total supply at 3$ mean a XRP 300,000,000,000 $ market cap total. Which is more than the total GDP of the USA for a year (if i'm not mistaken). Can a coin be more valuable than that ? I don't believe so. It's too pricey.
