Is Faucet really a waste of time?

Mostly newbies are getting advice from those who knew Bitcoin very well and getting ideas also by researches.  One of which are some sites from where Faucets are giving away satoshis.  Is this method really just a waste of time as so many people are saying?

yes my friend waste of time, but why in some countries forbidden to play not only stake.com care and other games of chance, for reasons that may not be fair.because when holding a casino or a game of chance that is fair to everyone he knows. who loves to go ahead

It's not a waste of time, if you are lucky and have time to spend trying to make money it's not.

I think yeah faucet is really a waste of time. What's the point of getting 10k satoshis per week? it's better to do some campaign on bitcointalk..

Easier and more profitable I believe.

in todays payouts from faucet's yes its a big waste of tiime, unlike before faucet's payout was enough to do a withdrawal every week, now faucets payouts is unreasonable  it will take a month to withdraw your hardwork and cost only a penny today!

If you're really lucky just like singpays on PD this faucet is not a waste of time, he's the one making 1 to 2 btc i think just from faucet

No, I don't think so faucet is waste of time. All you have to do is made a few referrals. Even only 10 good referrals can make a difference.

Think about it, you have joined 20 faucet site and you have 10 direct refs. Now if they claim 20 times a day(which is very easy), and the ref-commission is 5sat(50% of 10sat, which is the minimum claim amount for any faucet), your daily income will be- 20*10*20*5= 20000sat. I think it's not that bad.

Now assume you have more than 10 refs and calculate your earning..

I will say ... it depend.If you compare 1 hour of fauceting Vs 1 hour of work, yes you lost your time A LOT. Better work in real life and put the money in BTC instead so I will always recommend to ask for more hours of work, find another job online or stuff like that.

But on the other hand I started by fauceting like lot of people and not only the BTC price increase 10x since that (making the lost of time a little less painful) but alos I learned a lot about how faucets and websites related to crypto are working. Now I can usually identify a scam in 30 sec or less.

It's also depending on what you do on the faucet, if you only claim for yourself it's not great but if you take the time to refer lots of people like @akki785 said, they will do the job (and more) for you and multiply the final gain.
