So I found this article about a man who bet 1 million USD for the price of bitcoin to go to 50k USD until december 2018.
Accordingly to LedgerX it actually was an institution. If the anonymous person wins that bet he gets to buy 275 bitcoin (worth a total of 13.8 million $ when the prize is 50k$)

What do you think about that crazy "bet"? Would you do it too if you had the money to?

Having such money I think I would have found a safer way to hold and increase revenue than simply betting nowhere. Or he just has a lot of money that he does not know where to put it.

Everything is possible. This year we thought if BTC reaches 10k it would be great and boom, BTC gone up to $22k. So yeah, I think 50k is very much possible.

Crazy bet tho.

Imagine youre an institution with a lot of money (which you can spend how you like) would you have picked a other coin or bitcoin?

I would pick Bitcoin every time, without a thought.

As per me the price really reach $50k now the price is hitting back with tight position.I hoping to see 20k in a week, so it is not hard for Bitcoin to climb $50k in next year.

What a baller! Even if I have a lot of money I wont go betting $1m like that xD perhaps $100k is fine :D

As I stated in my post. LedgerX said it probably is an institution. So its not just an individual :P

i heard that BTC will reach 58000$ at the end of 2018 o 50k is possible too.Imagine how BTC raised on 2017  and its only 300% for one year.not so difficult.wish it raises too

its really hard to believe knowing there were already a lot of coins out there, and still thousands are coming in, with a better tech. However, who knows right? im sure all of us will still benefit from it when it happen. :)

A very risky decision but if he really has so much money and didnt just sell all in all what he have then its not a big thing for him if ever he lose.

But for us or me that has only small amount of income or cant afford to invest that much, prefers to just collect free faucets or any free btc giving sites to earn. xD

that was a big gamble, for ordinary people i think they would think twice before dealing that kind of amount unless you have a strong basis,w/ regards to the price, i guess that, this man is millionaire already..for me i dont gamble on it, i would rather invest rather than to bet,.O.o

He just have money to spend with. Maybe he is also confident enough that btc will go to that price. Anything is possible anyways.

Although as of today altcoins are crazy booming.:)

probably he has a lot og bitcoins so he can control the price to go up or down.if he loses the bet he will  eran from trading bitcoins.all these are my thinkings about that

If I had that much money, I'll bet it to Ethereum. I believe from my heart that Bitcoin is a little saturated. But with ERC20 token thing, Ethereum has a bigger opportunity in 2018..

I hope my prediction may get positive result.
