Twenty Years Ago, Two Men Predicted Bitcoin

It can seem crazy but 1997 was already 20 years ago and even if Internet was only at his very beginning (no social media, no google, etc.) 2 men wrote a book predicting something who is really similar to what we know today as Bitcoin and crypto-currencies.

Those 2 guys, James Dale Davidson and Lord William Rees-Mogg, wrote a book called "The Sovereign Individual: Mastering the Transition to the Information Age (TSI)", a history book focused upon the coming future. And in the book they stated that with the coming information online a new type of money will need to be create.

But they were not "vague", in fact this is exactly what they said back in the days ;

 “Soon, you will pay for almost any transaction over the Net or World Wide Web at the same time you place it, using cybercash. This new digital form of money is destined to play a pivotal role in cybercommerce. It will consist of encrypted sequences of multi-hundred-digit prime numbers. Unique, anonymous, and verifiable, this money will accommodate the largest transactions. It will also be divisible into the tiniest fraction of value. It will be tradable at a keystroke in a multi-trillion-dollar wholesale market without borders,”

That's crazy right ? Super specific even if they didn't knew the terms we use today as crypto-currencies, blockchain & co.

I hope I can have the book and read the whole of it. Maybe it's written there that the future of bitcoin also.

I found the book on Amazon here in France but a little too expensive ^^ (55$)

More important than predictions, it is also important to notice that there were scientists, mathematicians or maybe simply geniuses that made work and proposals of cryptocoins, and their ideas were used later by Satoshi Nakamoto (and this was acknowledged in his white paper).

In 1998 for example, there was a proposal for a cybercoin called B-money.

It was made by Wei Dai:

Yeah you're right maverick for we all know scientist word is a broad term not just in physical things discoveries but also in cyber world term. This are these intelligent Software engineers developing an extaordinary code that is really a big help in the future.
