Just found that great read about a very usefull usage of the blockchain technology. What if it can become the tech who allow everyone to be assured that elections can't be rigged ? That's a real concrete life application that could be huge right ?

The Blockchain Trust Accelerator Initiative, according to cofounder Tomicah Tillemann, has a plan to increase voter turnout and make election tampering impossible. A decentralized record of all votes cast in any election could be kept on blockchain ledgers, which cannot be altered or changed without leaving obvious traces of tampering across the entire ‘chain’.

With transparency you could always help prevent corruption, it's not exactly novel in that aspect. It does however reduce privacy or secrecy, but I think it'd be worth it.

Not so much a new concept, but it's interesting that it's being applied.

If it should be used in this kind of way tho, popular and important. We would have to be able to explain it easily to a non-crypto familiar person. I, personally, dont even understand it and I am kinda into crypto... So how should a regular person understand it and trust it?

A very big help by blockchain. This could really be great news also for crypto-usage and be accepted soon worldwide and fully.

Imagine the secureness of the voting elections if blockchain will really be used compared to using the old way or this voting machine.
