What does the forum prefer the user to do regarding images uploaded in post/thread

I was just wondering what does the forum prefer the user to do regarding images uploaded in post/thread.                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
Is it preferred we use a service like lightshot/imgur/photobucket and upload the screenshot to a sever then link the image through there?                                                                                
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
Or is it preferred that we actually use the upload button from file option, when we click "choose files.." ?                                                                                
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
I started recently uploading my screenshots (or adding them to posts) and wasnt sure which is more optimal, both ways have benefits of course, the only negative from the services are that it will eventually be deleted in a year or two =/
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
So my guess is to use the attach imagine from file, am I correct?

If you are using them purely for the forum, then just upload them here. They end up getting compressed and such. If you want to share them elsewhere I highly suggest imgur or any other service as they provide shorter urls and better quality.
