The Reason No Limit City games are down

Hello All, let me tell you a story. 
 

a few days ago, I won 800 dollars on fire in the hole. This may not seem like a lot to some of you, but it was the highest multiplier I’ve ever gotten. 3200x. 
 

well, I was very excited and decided to share the replay link for the game to show others. I opened the game, went into history, and clicked the replay button and the replay loaded. I copied the link in the header and shared it in sport chat. 
 

shortly thereafter, my BTC balance showed only 29 dollars. I went into my transactions and saw several more transactions after my big win, so I contacted support. At first they ignored me saying that it’s impossible that someone else used my balance. Then I shared the link with Support and they noticed that others can indeed use your balance if you accidentally share the game link instead of the replay link (which I assume happened because I was on mobile).

well, they locked my account and disabled transactions. A few minutes later there were a few more transactions which actually brought my balance back closer to what it was before whoever messed with me, then they disabled no limit city games entirely.

the support ticket is still underway; I’m waiting to hear if NLC is going to refund me for those transactions that I didn’t initiate myself, but to be frank I will take it as a loss if they decide not to because it was partially my fault for sharing my link publicly. 
 

so, a kind reminder to all of you bettors, don’t share links for replays no matter what. It’s possible you will allow some random to play with your balance at no loss to themselves.

JK, that really sucks, i wouldn't have thought of that honestly. I never share real links, just the little link code. Its pretty bananas that there was a bug that large that has gone for so long (I am assuming it has always been a problem, but no one knew).

Wow... that's actually scary. I've never shared replays but it's definitely a lesson to be careful.

Hope you get your money back somehow.
