Confessions of a poor bettor

So I started off on the 17th of March with a 200 dollar deposit. Over the next 14 days that 200 dollar deposit grew and grew.

 My first big win was hand of Midas, 600 or so dollars. Then I was hooked. With a cool 1k in the bank I kept it cool, started getting rain, and some of my other balance started to grow.

 

 Then at the end of week 3, I got two back to back thousand X’s (2000 and 3000 respectively). That and the other small winnings I had been getting I was up to 6000 flipping dollars! 
 

i did the smart thing and withdrew 4000. . . That’s when things went awry. 
 

I started losing. Quickly the 2000 I had left over, shrunk. When my TRX balance fell lower than 500 I did the least smart thing. I re-deposited. 
 

I should have just busted and left. 

...

So here I am now, back down to 200 dollars. It’s been fun. didn’t win anything, didn’t lose anything (essentially), but I feel pretty damn stupid for depositing again. 
 

so that’s that. I’ve said it. Take care guys. Maybe I’ll be back later to try again.

I can almost guarantee it's the story of most of our betting experiences... As much as you try and keep funds withdrawn, you'll eventually lose and deposit again.

I'm currently in a battle to get to Plat II and I'm telling myself not to chase the next VIP level afterwards and simply stick to sports betting. It's all about management. I need to think of a way of setting up some kind of lock on a wallet to restrict my access to coins.

Thats the silly thing most of us (gambler) did. An urge to redeposit after withdrawing our profit. Back then I was like that before but Ive learned my lesson. Now, if I do some withdraw , i took all my balance and just redeposit my capital after few days or so. The usual scenario after we took our winnings is that our previous strategies will not gonna work now.

its a great learning experience i was just like you before when i started playin but what i noticed was new players not new alts has a greater odds of winning you can see them on chat flaunting them big multiplier wins but after that ? whats next ? coming days or week they'll go fucked rigged with all the bullshit and stuff

I just can't believe I redeposited. I can't believe I could be so stupid. 

There is this feeling of despair, because the whole point of doing this was to help my wife pay off some debt; and now it's all gone.

 

Greed is a powerful thing. Being tricked into thinking the winning will continue, that falsehood encouraged me to keep trying.

 

And poof. I'll be fine. Just not taking it so well.

I've only been on Stake for a little over a week, but i thought I'd already topped that. Perhaps I'm missing something.
