SweetieDoris Posted June 12, 2021 #1 Posted June 12, 2021 One of the most common uses for the Internet is for the music on the radio. Online radios, generally hosted by large tastemakers, are often run as subscription services. And big tastemakers are an essential channel to get new audiences interested in what's playing. Frequently, radio hosts are also the same people that shout out the latest music which is appearing out there on these channels. So why have internetradiohoren.de stations come into their own? In part because they can be easier to monetize than terrestrial radio stations. Traditional radio stations need advertisers in order to stay in business-so they need to get the word out about their programs. But online radio stations can take advantage of social media networking, streaming services such as YouTube, and other forms of peer-to-peer downloads (such as Lime Wire). All of these allow smaller stations and artists to make more of an impact on a much larger audience through online distribution. And the airplay incentives are pretty good too. If a song gets enough play on one of the major online radio stations, it has the potential to get viral-if word-of-mouth and exposure spreads rapidly enough. This means that a song with a large enough audience can quickly build itself a reputation on the Internet, while building a station that could become the new mainstream airwaves. But if the station manager knows how to do this properly and strategically, the upside can be huge for the radio station, artist, and audience all at once.
