Removal of the API Key

Anyone  aware of why API has been removed from Stake.  I am no longer able to use a Dicebot. 

Is this not allowed anymore?

The has no official announcement.

I asked support and they said it was temporary for security reasons but gave no details or any fix times.

I found a way to get the API Key, I best not explain here, PM me instead.

There is a security reason why we removed that option. 

I would strongly recommend that you don't use it unless you really know what are you doing.

I am the master of Dicebot and I know how to use it very well. Ant news on when it will return?

I obviously don't want to do this because I love Stake , but I might have to move my dice playing to another casino  

My VIP Manager is Maja, and she is amazing, Shame I couldn't get her to join the stream. I cam 2nd in the 90 minute race!

Hey I need your help, I would like to obtain mine. But the thing is I can’t PM you, it says I’m not allowed to message you. It says this for anybody I try to message and I don’t know why. I haven’t got in any type of trouble on here all my posts are positive and good, No trouble there. Any other way I can get in contact with you?

Actually t is quite easy, in Chrome Anyway.

Simply press F12 when you on Stake and navigate Local Storage and select https://stake.com.

Locate the Key "Session" and to the right you will find you API Key. 

Make sure you remove the quotes and that worked for me.

If you have the API Key, you don't need 2FA, just enter your userid and API in Dice Bot and your in....

How long have you been using the DiceBot and how profitable has it been?

I've played roulette with double stake strategies and the usually work for a while until you completely go bust haha.

Interested out of curiosity more than anything.

I have been using Dicebot only for the last 4 months, but I have mastered it have written some pretty cools strats which I am happy to share

It is easy, use Chrome and press F12 to bring up the developer tools and navigate to Local Storage and Stake.com and look for session Key. That will be your API key. I tried it and was able to log in to dicebot fine.

Yes it also works on Microsoft Edge Explorer and n that case Windows Explorer.

Yeah unfortunately, I had to change gambling site this weekend because of this. It's a real shame because I really like Stake/PrimeDice.

2 days without API key its 2 days without profit... I can't imagine my loss of profit if this goes on any longer.

I stay anyway for the slot and to talk with the community, but no more Stake Originals :/

I got dicebot working as well but I was wondering ( I haven’t tried it) is it ok/can you run dicebot on a computer while playing on other games on a mobile device at the same time? Or will stop the dicebot or something?

I created a strategy. Some people insulted me on the Stake chat when I said I wanted to share it, so I won't say anything, sorry!

No, I swore I would never share my strategy, sorry. I wanted to, but there are too many bad people, they don't deserve it.

Maybe if one day the whole community becomes respectful, I'll share, but its not for now I think...

I don't believe there is as a sure way to profit on Dice in the long run. Anyone telling you otherwise is either cheating or it's a fallacy.

Why show your screen shots if you were unwilling to share with the community, I mean it's not like we are against you, we are all players at the end of the day and we all want to win?

I have tried everything and come to the conclusion that Dice is only good for wagering. There is no such thing as a perfect system.  

I use diceboit and play slots all the time, gets my wagering up and through the VIP Levels super quick. I went from Platinum III to Platinum V in one week doing exactly this.

You weren't there on the Stake chat when I got insulted for offering to share my strategy. I was insulted, I swore I wouldn't share anything. That's logic, why should I be good to people who are not good to me? I took it badly and with good reason.

You can do a lot of things with Dice, not just wagering, but okay, believe what you want to believe.

Following up on what Rade has said.

Users were falling for scams with the API key. We have since removed it from visibility to prevent this. The API key is only relevant for users who use scripts / dice-bot, hilo-bot, etc. We do not support usage of these and inputting your API key anywhere externally will compromise your account.

If you were tech-savvy enough to know what you were doing, then you'll be able to find your API key easily. If you cant figure out how to find your API key now, then you shouldn't be using your API key. Simple as that. Locking this thread.
