notnic Posted July 22, 2021 #1 Posted July 22, 2021 Has anybody ever heard of the altcoin affectionately named DinkDoink? I follow altcoins and heavily watch youtube content - One of the commentators I watch (IDubbbz) made a video basically outright calling it fraud/a scam/pump and dump Meanwhile large youtubers and influencers like Logan Paul are promoting it saying it could be the next chance to strike big before the game? Apparently they have a mascot, they rip off south park animations on their page to emulate being edgy and cool- it seems really scary to me seeing as (Just like Doge) The coin has 0 utility.. Made without purpose or intent.. Yet they have a whole roadmap laid out on their page which includes things like a feature film and further influencer onboarding? TL;DR - Altcoin named dinkdoink (****coin, if you will) being promoted by huge influencers as the next doge) Does anyone have experience with it yet, If so what are your thoughts?
Brainmanager Posted August 6, 2021 #6 Posted August 6, 2021 i have seen a couple of videos about it and i dont think it is a thing to invest in 8-)
rebol Posted August 9, 2021 #7 Posted August 9, 2021 Id stay away from anything influencers are trying to promote . Usually some buullshit pump n dump garbage .
e_abrams Posted August 10, 2021 #8 Posted August 10, 2021 I just stick to Bitcoin and Ethereum really.
Nike777 Posted August 10, 2021 #9 Posted August 10, 2021 Never heard about it. To be honest I don't really jump by motivation from other rich people/ influencers on all over the social media. I believe most of them are fraud we heard many platforms does exit scam that including new coins project also I personally rarely buy new coins , prefer to stick with old and under top 50 coins mostly.
e_abrams Posted August 13, 2021 #10 Posted August 13, 2021 It's been demonstrated many times that happens - influencers use their platform to convince people to get obscure coins. The late John McAfee's problems began with SEC going after him for doing just that: https://www.forexbrokerz.com/news/john-mcafee-commits-suicide-in-a-barcelona-prison
e_abrams Posted October 8, 2021 #15 Posted October 8, 2021 So have there been any updates on this coin?
foosoo Posted October 18, 2021 #16 Posted October 18, 2021 What is your opinion about online casinos that started to accept crypto payments? I have recently found an interesting resource, and decided to https://tower.bet/cogwheel play cogwheel at Tower.bet. Still hesitating whether these platforms can be trusted without problems. But from the other hand, you do not need to show your personal details, only wallet address. So you do not risk anything.
Forum Admin Tristan Posted October 18, 2021 Forum Admin #17 Posted October 18, 2021 This coin is literally a scam. Please avoid it. Dont fall for silly crap guys. All "content" creators are paid to shill this stuff.
PizzaBiceps Posted October 18, 2021 #18 Posted October 18, 2021 Admin already said it best. I actually thought this was already a confirmed scam tbh
crisulu Posted October 18, 2021 #19 Posted October 18, 2021 For me it's just pollution. Like more than half of cryptos. They exist just because temporary hype, they serve nothing and their future is like dice 50/50.
Jeyroth Posted October 31, 2021 #21 Posted October 31, 2021 I consider as Tristan says that it is a scam the alcoin be careful with those coins
