Guest CBlue Posted September 23, 2021 #1 Posted September 23, 2021 I accidentally sent ERC-20 tokens to my stake.com wallet. As a new father, this amount is a seriously large amount. Your customer support team was rude, gave me no info on why I can't simply have the tokens sent back to me, and then told me I need to wait 30 days to speak to a general manager. This is not acceptable for me. I have been part of teams engineering smart contracts, and as far as I can tell, Stake.com uses wallets and/or a smart contract with a receiving function and should be able to simply send my money back, minus a transaction fee of course. I could use help from both customer support and the community on this one.
Support FilipN Posted September 23, 2021 Support #2 Posted September 23, 2021 Hello there. As you can see here: It is clearly stated that we only support the use of ERC20 addresses. You were not supposed to deposit anything other than an Ethereum address. For further information review the messages from our support member and as always feel free to ask further questions. Best regards. Filip, Stake.com Customer Support Agent
Macaveli1989 Posted September 23, 2021 #3 Posted September 23, 2021 Yeah It does state this in the eth deposit bud .. madness should just be refunded
Guest CBlue Posted September 24, 2021 #4 Posted September 24, 2021 Filip, I understand that, but I only sent it to this address because it was the last one I had sent ETH to and my phone's Metamask app glitched. I did not make the decision to send tokens after reading the above, it was a total accident from Metamask. From examining the wallet address and what I can find about Stake's contract, it seems like a simple matter of refunding me, minus the gas fee for the transaction. There are scenarios where smart contracts act like burn addresses but the address I sent to was a wallet, not a smart contract. The tokens cannot be used on stake.com, but are being held in a wallet which can just send it back to my personal wallet. I am an avid user of Stake.com, and would like to be honoured in my request. Thanks for the support Macaveli1989
