Kargai Posted January 16, 2018 #1 Posted January 16, 2018 I'm always looking at how blockchain can apply to different markets and especially niche market. And it's very interesting to see how things can work with the art market. Lately, Richard Prince launched a token based on the Ethereum network to start a movement who could be called "cryptoart". Distributed Gallery (an online gallery) describes itself as the first to specialize in “blockchain-based artwork and exhibition”. One of the idea is to make copyable stuff of the internet and turn them into “rare, tradable blockchain assets.” They took Cryptokitties as an example to show how a creation can be trade in cryptos and have some value Same thing with the CryptoPunks project (the image over) who created 10.000 unique algorithm-generated characters. Now some of thm are traded for 10 Ether. Source : https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/13/arts/cryptocurrency-art-market.html
barbaris Posted January 16, 2018 #2 Posted January 16, 2018 The art market has long been associated with the crypto currency, I saw it on the example of artbyte coin. Which has recently grown significantly.
