Help account was drained empty - truly heartbreaking

today I received a email about a doge bonus from a Watford win. Everything looked perfect. Took me to stakes website all like a legit bonus would do. While I was talking to live support about email and my deposit someone withdrew $9000+ dollars from my acct. While I was talking to support about it and all I got from them was sorry nothing we can do have not been able to get a hold of my VIP manager or talk to anybody I have lost over $50,000 in the last six months this was my first real withdrawal my first real winnings and it was going to help my family to stop basically living in my car and now it's all gone and I've not been able to speak to anybody. I don't think it's right I requesting help in every way that I can from anybody at stake and I just keep getting the runaround absolutely heartbreaking anybody who knows anything about me I'm at the casino knows that this was truly going to help my family and now we're scrambling not knowing what to do.

Not sure how they withdrew it without wagering anything. Steak has prevented this in past citing mixing coins but this time I never even saw my deposit register all I saw was the withdrawals while I was chatting with support I feel they could have stopped the withdrawal. But I have been loyal all my money has come here I am truly living outta my car rite now. I finally win and just like that everything gets stolen. And all I'm offered for an explanation is sorry the $$ is gone. It's not ok and I need someone to help me here. Please thanks

I'm sorry this happened to you, but I doubt you can get your money back.

Take this as a lesson. Always use 2FA and always double-check that the email you recieved is actually from Stake.

I don't count on casino for family anything I count on finances which I e used alot of here at this point I still haven't been told anything by anybody I know that I deposited money into my account and then it was taken out of my account can't get a hold of my VIP host or anybody from the casino. I don't expect them to give me my money back but I do expect them to look into it contact me work with me on it a little bit somehow in some way like I said I've lost a whole lot of money here and it's crazy as s*** that the first time I win anything I get scammed all while talking to the chat on the support on the chat I would think that the casino would absolutely be interested in that somebody who is a platinum 5 VIP in 6 months time should have at least that much respect from The Establishment they were doing business with and that establishment should also have something in place to help win something like this happens and that's all I'm asking for it I've never come on here and said I want my money back or nothing else I just need some help with this and to understand what happened and to yeah have the establishment work with me in this situation and that's about it so I don't know where like the comments exactly are coming from I think anybody would accept expect the same thing but yeah thank you for your opinion if anybody has any helpful advice like who I can contact or a way to contact them that would be awesome

You should probably contact someone in whom you can confide-- someone who is receptive to your plight and will help to manage these troubling emotions. Consider viewing your long-term wellbeing and trust that things will be okay in the future. It might be best to consider holding off on gambling if your family will suffer as a consequence of your losses -- whether by fraud or by hitting a cold streak. Perhaps this whole affair might serve a purpose; to alter your behaviour for the sake of your loved ones and for yourself.

 Knowing that others rely on you for sustenance, I cant imagine how you feel. (My losses generally only affect myself.) I can, however, empathize and--on a human level-- I'm incredibly sorry to hear about your suffering.

Talk to someone about this.. Because I think thats about the best shot you've got at managing this crisis. And update us if you manage to recoup all (or even some) of your bankroll. Best wishes & best of health.

The whole purpose to this was to raise awareness and to try to get ahold of someone at the casino who will help my vip is working on it but not even sure what that means. And I would assume that the casino would absolutely want to discuss things I mean I deposited $9,000 into the account it never got played and never nothing else somebody immediately took it out I don't know anything other than that so I know that $9,000 that I put in there is gone and I can't get a hold of anybody nobody has no contact anymore for anybody else if anybody knows how to reach Eddie  can you guys let me know.... No matter what I mean the money that we win or deposit should be safe here there's a lot more to it than just oh sorry bud that sucks come on man you guys are tripping

I am really sorry for your loss and i understand that you are actually on fire.

soberly viewed you are complaining now that you family lives out of the car. That is absolutely heartbreaking, but who is reliable for that situation? I think its not stakes fault. I have no understanding for gambling when family is suffering after a loss. And you can get sure, that you lose most of the time. Who is responsible for clicking on links, which do not come from stake? You have to take yourself care about this

Do you had 2FA enabled at the time when someone stole your money? If not... you cannot blame stake for this. It is often enough mentioned to enable the 2FA

I know you gonna hate me for my post, but these are facts and there is no need to discuss this with the support. See it from their site and tell me what you are going to do vize versa? What kind of help are you expecting from stake? There is nothing they can do for you besides tip you the money back. And that will never ever happen. And why should they do that?

Take it like a champ, get yourself help and get out of that bubble soon. And i hate you for the fact you get your family in serious trouble. If i had something to say here on stake i would immediately ban your account.

I have also great losses in the last week but i will never get my family in trouble and let them live in a car 🤬

I feel really sorry for your family.  I also know first hand that losses can be really tough, and have even played with money I couldn’t afford to lose (shame on me I know).  However, for them to have to suffer for your selfish, self control lacking, terrible decision Is just awful and shame shame on you!  Now here is where my niceness ends and I’m going to be a dick.   Something in your story is not adding at up.  First you say about the $9000, “this was my first real withdrawal my first real winnings and it was going to help my family.”  Then you say later about the $9000, “I deposited $9,000 into the account it never got played and never nothing else somebody immediately took it out.”  So which is it, was it winnings that you were going to withdraw, or was it a fresh depo that you were going to play, or maybe you withdrew the money from stake to another place and that’s where it got stolen from?? Maybe it’s the language barrier talking here, but something not adding up.  Either way you have bigger problems, If they logged in and robbed you that means you are keyloggered and need to change all your passwords and shit immediately after removing it. Number two, always use 2fa, always! Being lazy has just cost you $9k, and maybe more if you keylogged, was it worth the time saving?  Number three, don’t fall for phishing schemes man, oldest tricks in the book.  If it looks to good to be true, it probably is, so always question every link, check who it’s from, how many it went to, etc.. All this being said, if it was an actual withdraw to a place away from stake then wth are crying to stake about for it being stolen from there??  Still something not adding up, and you maybe full of crap here on something, just saying..but here’s hoping it’s just the language Barrier and my ignorance.  However one of my major faults is I like to assume positive intent for most people..gets me everytime in the back in most cases, but still I do.  Best of luck to your family in the future, hopefully they wise up, leave you, and go on to greener things.  Also, your money is long gone, and hopefully you took some of the above measures I listed to make sure nothing else was stolen, but learn from this, stop being lazy, makes positive life changes, or you will have nothing left one day but tears my friend..believe me on this, and also on that people that commit fraud don’t give two shits if you or your family don’t have one box to live in or a grain of rice to eat.   Best of luck to you in the future, and getting your life sorted out.

Unfortunately you're probably going to have to write this off as a very expensive lesson on why you should always have 2FA active on any account that has the ability to instantly move crypto.

This sound like an API hijack. Third party softwares like dicebots allow the withdrawal of funds with just username and an API.

He got a phishing email, I assume clicked the link and typed his login and pw into the hackers site.

I'm pretty sure you can't withdraw via a non logged in api call without 2FA code.
