Number of Bitcoin developers over the last 8 years

Just found this image on Reddit and it's interesting to see how many developpers have participate to the Bitcoin project over the years.

Almost 80 devs are currently working on the project,  It had 158 contributors to it in the last 12 months. That might not sound a lot, but it puts it in the top 2% of all open source projects in the world in terms of the size of the active development team.

But sad part is this year around 800 crypto currency have failed with various reasons
