J-Dawg Posted December 24, 2021 #3 Posted December 24, 2021 Always use the handicaps when making basketball bets. Do not bet on the favorite on the straight money line, ever! You could of picked up San Antonio +10 for 1.95 if you jumped on it early enough. 6 hours before the game you could of picked it up at +6.5 to 7.5 for the same price
Keiron Posted December 24, 2021 #4 Posted December 24, 2021 Lakers are really terrible this season...

J-Dawg Posted December 24, 2021 #6 Posted December 24, 2021 I feel your pain hiawc! I saw your ticket, it has happened to me often. That is the problem with parlays, no room for error. On most EU sports-books, you can make more sophisticated parlays. You can set these bets up yourself on Stake you just need to click a lot of buttons instead of just hitting one. For example, the Trixie parlay bet. A trixie is 4 bets on 3 selections instead of just 1 single trebles parlay: 3x Double Bets and 1x Treble bet A Yankee bet is 11 bets across 4 selection. A Yankee bet comprises 11 bets on four selections A $1 stake on Yankee bet will cost $11 Two or more winning selections guarantee a return from this wager. If your 4 selections were teams called 1,2,3,4 this is how you set up this bet And then there is whole new levels to this This is a Lucky 15, which is 15 bets across 4 selections And then, if you going full war mode, a Super Yankee is 26 bets across 5 selections There's a story behind the name Yankee, and it is as such: "The Yankee is a 4 selection wager consisting of 11 bets: 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold accumulator. The Yankee is rumored to be named after an American soldier who placed a small bet in the UK and won back hundreds of thousands due to the multiple roll-over mechanics at work." The main thing to acknowledge in these bets, is that the bet size is consistent across every bet. But how you can tweak it, seeing as Stake do not offer the ease of just pressing "Yankee" , you can go a little bigger on the doubles, smaller on the trebles, and smaller again on the four and five folds. Or, you can do smaller bets on the doubles, that if only 1 or 2 come in, you get back some of your wager back, but if the three four and five-folds hit, you've got a serious jackpot etc Anyway, I hope someone finds this interesting and or useful
