Sportsbook Managers don't know player limits

I come writing here as a Platinum II member only having registered since November 15, betting over $800,000 in the past 6 weeks.

I am shocked at how the Stake.com Sportsbook Managers do not know or adjust player limits.

On Sunday, I was able to make several bets between $1500 and $2500 on a number of markets ranging from NFL spreads to player props.

Today (Wednesday), I went to bet $2000 on a College Bowl Game spread, but my bet was rejected for being over the limit. However, nowhere did it say what the limit was, how much I could bet, etc.

Well, that was right before kick-off. 5 plays later, the team I wanted to bet on at -4.5 (Maryland) was up 7-0 and the spread moved to -9.5. As the game has been going on, they are up 41-10 and easily going to cover. Which means I am out $1800 that I would have won, as I did not have enough time to bet on another site.

So, going to the chat, I wanted to understand why the bet was rejected. A straight handicap bet on a college bowl game of $2,000 is not huge. I've placed up to $7,500 on other sites with no issue on handicaps, O/U and moneylines before.

I was told by Mina that they do not know because the Stake.com team has no idea about the player limits, bet limits, market limits, etc. Of course, I was quite upset because it meant I lost out on $1800, but I am more shocked that a "sportsbook manager' does not have any actual impact on the sportsbook.

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but I bet $800,000 in 6 weeks here. I don't think a $2000 bet on a college bowl spread is something crazy.

I'm not sure if this affects anything, but I should mention I have a profit of over $33,000 over my playing time here.

good that u are in profit

they have to update the sport provider so we can get better experience but for now it is what it is.

gl next.

Thank you!

I think the issue is not the provider, as almost all sites use Betradar.

But how can the team not even know how much the limits are? Why would somebody who likes to bet a decent amount $500 to $2500 per game, bet with them if you just have to guess the limit each time?

If the limit is $1,000 that is fine. But tell players so that we can place $1000 here and $1000 somewhere else.

COnsider yourself lucky they let you bet so much even though you are up.

I was up around 10k on basketball when they hit me with a limitation. Now I cant even bet 10$ on smaller basketball leagues in Europe and around 200$ on NBA. Even Ncaa I can bet tops 50$.

In the past they had a "max bet" button so you can see when you can bet, for some STUPID reason they got rid of it. Stake is not a good place for sports betting I must say.

Just cashed all my funds out from here. Going to Moon - Bet to try because at least they tell you the limits. May not be the prettiest site but the own is a guy that knows betting and treats the players real well.

yup its the profit, did u try betting the same slip multiple times with the lower limit?

No, I tried to bet literally just before the kickoff of the game.

Before I could try that, as I was trying to find out what the reason was (as just two days before I could bet $2500 no issue), the team ran in a kick for a TD. At that point the line went from -4.5 to -9.5 so I didn't want to make the bet anymore.
