CAPS usage on chat

Open topic about using CAPS on the chat, specifically on the French one (I don't go every often on the others and I don't know how it's managed over there), but this discussion can be related to all chats, I'm really eager to have opinions from different chats' users.

First of all, reminder of the rule concerning the caps :

Don't spam, harass or be offensive to other users. Also, avoid using CAPS.

The key word here, for me, is AVOID. Not DO NOT, but AVOID. (see, caps, emphasis here)

I totally understand that people get muted when they WRITE IN CAPS ALL THE TIME, after being warned - or not, for that situation, it still makes sense to me.

However, if we have one or two words in CAPS in the whole sentence, to put an emphasis on a specific part, what's the issue about it ? Is it really that bad ? Is it really making the chat so unreadable ? I'm using chats for more than 3 decades (f*ck yeah, I'm that old), and it's the first time where I can see mods being so harassing about the usage of CAPS.
