So, we have a few topics related to our pets, but no topics about wild animals we've encountered.

I'm a big animal lover and I like to take photos of them whenever I can. So, I'd like to share some of these photos with you.
Post your interesting photos here, I'd like to see different wild animals from all over the world 😄

P. S.
Remember: insects are animals too!

A dormouse (Glis glis) in his deep sleep. I've found it in the soil.

Hmmm a very interesting topic to talk about ..  not only sharing photos as well as refreshing our mind, broaden our knowledge about wild animals with their corresponding scientific names just like going back to our biology class 🙃 one of my favourite subject 😁.

Only 1 thing I hate most .. "dissecting " . 😁

I've seen some players like @Bridgette013 @BAB05 have these kind of pet .

These photos of your encounters are just unreal!

It’s interesting to see the wide variation of animals in other countries as there is little chance to experience anything even remotely similar in my region…

Just went to wet market earlier to buy "milk fish " (bangus) these spiny huge lobsters caught my attention and remember these post of yours .. I know its not that "wild " but its rarely seen by ordinary people .

These kind of skinny rock lobsters (Panulirus Penicillatus)     usually served on special occasion here in Hong Kong .

So, you went into the wilderness, huh? Or at least your backyard... 😁

So, the first beetle, it looks like a female member of the Oryctes genus to me.

And here is my photo of the European rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes nasicornis)

ornas.png

Snail and worm are also interesting.

The last picture, I think it's a bananimal 😁

Yes, some very familiar species.

Hirundo rustica, Barn swallow, or we could label it as "rural" 😀

There is also a Delichon urbicum in Europe, very similar to H. rustica. We could label it as "urban".

I took this photo of D. urbicum last summer.

Cossus cossus, a well known resident of parks and forests.

So, you also love biology? 😄

So, these lobsters can grow pretty big as I can see, up to 40 cm (according to Wikipedia).

fun fact ! in french its called a Raton laveur  with roughtly translate to  a *bigrat that wash*  cause it rince the stuff in water before eating it

Smart animal 😁

Are they aggressive toward humans? There are no raccoons here.

Posted

Racoons are wild animals so they can be aggressive. The even bigger problem is that they are frequent carriers of rabies, so if you see one in the wild, don't approach it.

Not at all... I feed them hot dogs, they will take it out of my hand with theirs. They're actually hella cute!!
