SpriteCoin Infects Cryptocurrency Users’ Computers with Ransomware

We already saw lots of fraud, scams, hacking and co in the crypto sphere and it seem it's not soon that it will stop.

This time it's a wallet application named SpriteCoin who is actually a delivery platform for a new type of ransomware. Anyone who downloads and installs the SpriteCoin wallet on his or her machine will subsequently get infected. Then they ask you a ransom to recover your system clean, the payment is asked in Monero (not Bitcoin or else), which is more anonymous.

And if you pay ? Your troubles don't end here since the malware infect one’s computer with other ransomware, malware, keyloggers, and so on.

For the time being, there is no way to get rid of the ransomware installed by SpriteCoin.

That even the C: / format does not help. This is the best antivirus.

This is why it's a bad idea to download without checking wether the source is legit or not. I Feel sorry for the victim. I hope the owner of this spritecoin will be arrested soon..

That's a horrible news. I can't think about what will be the situation, if the virus attack one's computer.

damn this, lucky I havent seen this kind of coin. Thanks for the warning kargai. Is it really uncurable @Kargai even if we try to re-install OS ?

SpriteCoin  Maybe i should create CokeCoin first  But i think this is the best antivirus  LOL

I think yes because it's encrypted. Never download a file from internet especially if we don't know wether the source is legit or not! be safe guys.
