There is a rumor that the biggest japanese exchanges (coincheck) has lost up to $600m worth of XEM in a hack although it's not yet confirmed.

What do you guys think about this? is this a 'planned move' as stated by joseph young or trully a hacking attack?

You can follow all the news in "live" on their blog : https://coincheck.com/en/blog/4673

Frequent updates are usually not a sign of scammers, they tend to be the most invisble possible after a larceny. So let's wait.

But 600 millions $ is a big part of the total market of NEM, more tha7-8% so it will have an impact on the price.

Well the good news is Coincheck said no users funds are at risk, they are repaying it all themselves, so that's good.

Yeah I heard about this good news too. Really a good exchanges.

But I wonder how they got half billion $ in just a day?! well..
