barbaris Posted January 31, 2018 #1 Posted January 31, 2018 Quote We’ve created a new policy that prohibits ads that promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings and cryptocurrency. We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through Facebook ads without fear of scams or deception. That said, there are many companies who are advertising binary options, ICOs and cryptocurrencies that are not currently operating in good faith. This policy is intentionally broad while we work to better detect deceptive and misleading advertising practices, and enforcement will begin to ramp up across our platforms including Facebook, Audience Network and Instagram. We will revisit this policy and how we enforce it as our signals improve. We also understand that we may not catch every ad that should be removed under this new policy, and encourage our community to report content that violates our Advertising Policies. People can report any ad on Facebook by clicking on the upper right-hand corner of the ad. This policy is part of an ongoing effort to improve the integrity and security of our ads, and to make it harder for scammers to profit from a presence on Facebook. source: https://www.facebook.com/business/news/new-ads-policy-improving-integrity-and-security-of-financial-product-and-services-ads I think this is not very good for the prices of crypto currency. How do you think this will affect the market crypto currency and how?
skillex Posted February 1, 2018 #2 Posted February 1, 2018 Yeah, I feel bad about it also, I cant anymore endorse my coin referral in facebook . I think it will only affect a little to coin dev since they are rich and can afford easily to pay for advertisment well facebook isnt dumb enough to reject them compared to us the free-poster who doesnt pay a cent.

nhoyasim101 Posted February 2, 2018 #9 Posted February 2, 2018 what? this is big impact to the people who are using FB for their promotional campaign, i think this is very unfair to the legit company using FB for ADS.thank you for this info @barbaris
dmbadillo10 Posted February 2, 2018 #10 Posted February 2, 2018 This will have a huge effect on BTC. Facebook and other social media platforms are the best channels to advertise, and loosing them will be a factor. Hope Mark Z. will think twice about this.
hamur Posted February 2, 2018 #11 Posted February 2, 2018 that is bad news for legit advertisers but as all we know there are more scammers than legit ones so for protecting users preventing all those advertisements will be good
