bandito2800 Posted June 29, 2022 #1 Posted June 29, 2022 No i dont have malware or any other virus. What happened is i request a withdrawal using my correct external address, triple check the address, click send , the address then turns grey for a split second and confirms, doesnt change the enitre process. But upon checking my transaction receipt the withdrawal address is different. Stake support said i must have malware that "changes your withdrawal address when the request is made" . Just want to give everyone a heads up that even if you input your correct address and stake accepts it, apprently that address can be change on the backend without any indication. I dont know why stake would allow an address to be changed on the backend after it accepts the initial address. Yes, i have video proof. I made 2 seperate videos showing that the address was normal and confirmed, but transaction receipt is different. Be careful and stay safe. Here is a video of me showing that i input my external wallet address in , stake confirms it without it changing but then send the btc to a different address. In beginning i show the previous withdrawals where this occurred and the address that my funds were being sent to. Stake has not refunded or given me a solution. It is obvious they accepted my address, but then it somehow is changed? Why would they allow an address change on the backend after accepting an initial address? i dont know I lost over $550 USD because of this
SadgePanda Posted June 29, 2022 #2 Posted June 29, 2022 https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/bc1qhg98wnu523thahk4fxhwy4v40t47nle8fqmnx3 you can see here that the transaction went through normally. $10.50
bandito2800 Posted June 29, 2022 Author #3 Posted June 29, 2022 That was after this error occurred 4 times in a row. It works fine now but still no explanation for this or me losing over $550
