wilbur Posted February 14, 2018 #1 Posted February 14, 2018 Gambling addicts have this insatiable hunger for money but for some people they are just satisfied after they reached their goal. But there's unending greediness in everyone's mind In my situation, i will stop gambling after i reach 0.5 btc , because i will invest it all on alt coins and will be busy in trading. how much btc it would take for you to stop gambling?
barbaris Posted February 14, 2018 #2 Posted February 14, 2018 I think a big loss or a big win will stop me.
ravenyvolle2 Posted February 14, 2018 #3 Posted February 14, 2018 Haha gambling is addictive so yeah maybe even if i win a huge one..I will still play even if it is not that big bets or balances.
wry Posted February 14, 2018 #4 Posted February 14, 2018 I often joke that alt coin trading is PvP gambling with no house edge. You may be scratching the same psychological "itch" with alt coin trading that you are by gambling. I gamble every once in awhile because it's fun. I also really enjoy the Stake community, including these forums. Even if by some freak event of nature I won a lot here I doubt I would leave, not because I'm a compulsive gambler, but because it's fun. I do worry that some users here could be compulsive gamblers and will never quit. I hope they get some help if they ever feel like they can't stop. Good Luck!
eldrindcm Posted February 15, 2018 #5 Posted February 15, 2018 I had once made my total profit from red and negative to positive and green after winning .1 BTC, but due to Stake being addictive, I never stopped playing, I got more greedy, I wagered more than what I've been wagering before that win, until I found myself with 0.3 BTC loss. I also made almost a BTC from trading and used some of it in gambling. So for me, I think winning big will not make me quit gambling, but now that I already loss big amount (.3 BTC is huge amount for me), I slightly decreased my budget for gambling Therefore, a huge loss will stop me from gambling rather than winning big.
Jtc763 Posted February 15, 2018 #6 Posted February 15, 2018 It would honestly take either a devastating loss or insane win for me to quit completely
athena2007 Posted February 15, 2018 #7 Posted February 15, 2018 i suppose for some its the thrill and the buzz the get from gambling too
Tej17 Posted February 15, 2018 #8 Posted February 15, 2018 in real life gambling i.e. E-games and Bingo machines i lost Php.25K in one sitting so after that i stopped going to those places lol
Mazda3 Posted March 14, 2018 #9 Posted March 14, 2018 I think I would have had enough 1 bitcoin, but knowing I probably would not be able to stop) and I would have lost it right here
xtinepink Posted March 15, 2018 #10 Posted March 15, 2018 Some people already stopped gambling, some are still here. It really depends but if ever I get to the point that I will stop playing, I will still be around to drop by and say hi to the community 🙂

Gambling is very addictive once you earn something big you will be wanting it again for sure. If you lose something big? You like to get it back again until it end up losing more. So in conclusion you can only quit gambling when you don't have nothing to gamble and you have some big reasons to stop it.

We just have to be wise in making decisions or just know when to stop before you get to the point that you will be sorry later on. Let’s hope not to even get there.
kulegutten Posted March 15, 2018 #13 Posted March 15, 2018 Im addicted to gambling and knowing when to stop is pretty hard. People are greedy and that's why even though we win we continue

lupandina Posted March 18, 2018 #21 Posted March 18, 2018 There doesn't exist any amount, how much you need to quit gambling... Main rule is simple: OR you are playing with funds, you can afford to lose and forget about it, because it's just for fun (in this case you probably wont think about quitting), OR you don't play at all. If you already are thinking about quitting gambling - it probably means, you already have debt in that and feeling bad about it. And there wheel starts to spin - you want recover it, then you lose more, trying recover that, lose more than more, etc... If you really think to quit gambling, there doesn't exist some magic point to do that. Best time is right now omg, I wrote so much
