Favourite GTA Game

We all have heard of one of, if not the most famous game series, Grand Theft Auto (GTA).

There are around 10 games in general, famous ones and some a bit less famous. I am a guy that is a big fan of the series and of Rockstar Games' games in general.

I walked through the following:

• Grand Theft Auto 3
• Grand Theft Auto Vice City
• Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, like 7/8-ish times, every time without cheats (as I think playing any game with cheats is not experiencing the game for real, and how it was intended :))
• Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars
• Grand Theft Auto 4 - As well as DLC The Lost and Damned (started Ballad of Gay Tony but didn't finish it, will do in the future)
• Grand Theft Auto 5 - 2/3 times. Played Online loads as well.

With all this experience, I will give out my opinion. Every game is great in it's own way. They all mostly made a revolution for the time when they were published.

That being said, my two favorite are San Andreas and 5.

San Andreas really has some great features that even 5 doesn't have (body system, respect and gang wars system,...), even though it is older by nearly 10 years.

5, as it is much younger, has some characteristics that are revolutionary (3 character gameplay, character customization - clothing, calling friends to hang out and a huge detailed map with loads of side missions).

If we look at the dates both games were released, it's a tight battle, but would maybe give an edge to San Andreas, as the world of gaming hadn't seen anything similar back then. Still we are directly comparing which game is better, without looking at things like date release, so actually wanted to give it to 5, but actually no. I call this one a tie. They are both amazing in their respectful way, and I would play both depending on my mood.

Every GTA game, for me, has a good story. In GTA 5 it sometimes can get confusing, as in San Andreas it is all nice and simple, but it's just the modernization. For me even 3 and Vice City have a good story. I loved every GTA game I played, and am looking forward to be playing them again

I am playing through 3 at the moment, and will do Vice City and San Andreas as well (all as Definitive editions).

What do you think? Do you like the rainy Liberty City as the silent Claude, or ruthless and emotionless Nico. Do you prefer the sunny Vice City with the smart and handsome Tommy. Or, do you prefer going to San Andreas state, exploring the big city of Los Santos with ambitious Franklin, always trying his best Michael, or crazy Trevor, or yet, going to San Fierro and Las Venturas with the coolio guy himself, CJ.
