xtinepink Posted February 26, 2018 #1 Posted February 26, 2018 If you are investing in cryptocurrency, most of us do not really share our private keys to anyone not even to family members. But what if something happened to us? We will never know if something happens to us, how will they be able to get access our hard earned money if we are gone. Just some random thoughts in mind. Atm I really haven't shared mine. Although I have kept a written private keys with a note "Important'' Although it's not that big, but we will never know the value of it in the future. What are your thoughts about this one?
Dan Posted February 26, 2018 #2 Posted February 26, 2018 I have considered this also, but the biggest problem is not giving them the private key, but the fact they probably wouldn't even know what to do with it once they have it! It would be a weird feeling giving them complete access to my investments. I don;t know if I could trust them or not.
Han2x Posted February 26, 2018 #3 Posted February 26, 2018 I already let my partner know it. All my keys and password so that in case in the future she need to access it she can. But I you don't give private key to the account that don't have anything in it. What for? hehehe
woodenpickle Posted March 13, 2018 #4 Posted March 13, 2018 Interesting topic : it is something I'm thinking about lately. My problem is my relatives are not tecnical people so I'd have to explain a world of new things and concept to make them able to take advantage of what I might leave them in case something could happen. Sometimes I think I should turn everytihng into bitcoin , put them in a single wallet btu doing so I'm afraid I would miss nice profit opportunity comung from some altcoins I currently own. It's a tough choice.
showrov1993 Posted March 13, 2018 #5 Posted March 13, 2018 i would never share my any Private key.yeah if i share my wallet private key they should be hack or other person might be know by them.so better is don't share and keep it on google drive. As like as i do and also please don;t try to hack my google drive.

Lol
btcstar31 Posted May 13, 2018 #7 Posted May 13, 2018 This is similar like having an account in the bank like Individual account & Joint account, In the joint account funds, signature & private keys can be exchanged,
Kate Posted July 10, 2018 #8 Posted July 10, 2018 Well no lol. No one in my family knows anything about btc lol. So even if i give them a paper with the private key they wont understand what it is used for
williamshennie9 Posted July 10, 2018 #9 Posted July 10, 2018 I would tell at least one person that I trust. Your investments will be worthless if nobody has access to them. I think as cryptos become more popular, so will people offering insurance and protection of your assets become more popular. It is interesting time we are living in
