Cherrypowah Posted November 9, 2022 #1 Posted November 9, 2022 So the phishing mail, that many of us have gotten, was send by the official stake domain. Beside the E-Mail adress what could have been stolen during this huge leak? Could our passwords, additional wallets, verification data and so on got stolen and what can we do to prevent any further damages? Do you think a 2FA and a password change (mail and stake) would be enough? I guess there will be some huge crisis-meeting at stake headquarter, since it might have been an inside job - or just because some employee got hacked... Did you lost any balance on your stake account by that attack? Im wondering, if Stake will inform us about what they will do to prevent further attacks. Do you think there will be any compensation given to stakers, that received the mail and fell for it like an monthly and bonus drop?
dyli21 Posted November 9, 2022 #2 Posted November 9, 2022 Yo cherrypowah you scemmed me for 10$ maybe youre the one hacking us all
dawid-m Posted November 9, 2022 #4 Posted November 9, 2022 I clicked the link and I'm scared now... I don't understand how such things can happen... Even if the support says it's all OK... Casinos have to / should be protected like a bank...
MidzeY Posted November 9, 2022 #5 Posted November 9, 2022 Stake have been transparent only when they want to. Communication has always been a probleme here. No matter the domains of the mail, always check the url ur logging/clicking in. And be careful about middleman based where you use public wifi etc All we want to know if they really had access to any "stake computer/server" or if they just used the domains name without having access to anything.
Bimfo Posted November 9, 2022 #6 Posted November 9, 2022 You all don't know more than Bonus drop and reload. 😏😏😏 We are talking about Data breach, you are here asking if we get Bonus drop or not. I won't mind a bonus drop though, but this should not be a topic. GET YOUR SH** TOGETHER.!
dollartree1 Posted November 9, 2022 #7 Posted November 9, 2022 Quit being babies. It's the internet. If youre still recklessly clicking links, no matter who it says it's from, and don't use proper security measures, that's on you. Stop trying to use this as an excuse to get free money. The language in the mail made it pretty obvious it wasn't from Stake. But if that didn't trigger alarm bells, maybe having to actually login to the site could have been an even clearer sign... or maybe the url143. subdomain in the address? The stake chat was absolutely shameless after this. All claiming they got robbed and phished when 99% of those people didn't have a Satoshi in their account anyway. The entitlement around here is borderline extortionary. Shit like this happens in EVERY industry this day and age big or small. It happens, get over it. Get smarter.
