Thanks stake for the fast response, I already saw that email but I ignored it and after some minutes stake posted that. Luckily I don't get scammed by that pishing im thankful to stake 😊

Who is in charge of the security on stake? A 5 years old? 🤦🏻‍♂️

That email came from stake.
If it would have said “monthly bonus”, a lot of accounts would be cleaned off.
What’s wrong with you stake? 🙄

The email sender [email protected] is easily fakable.
But what is more interesting is that the "sign in" link is refering to the folowing subdomain:

url143.stake.com

This means two possibilities:

1: This email has been sent by mistake by stake, in wich case they don't assume and say it's a phising email.
2: It's really a phising email, and that means stake's server that host the .com domain has been compromised and scammers accessed the server and installer the phising code in there.

You're just going to completely ignore the featured post from the staff member? Already confirmed that their Sendgrid account was hacked. Massive data breach.

First and most important thing to keep in mind is that your data is safe and you have nothing to worry about.

Email service was briefly compromised which lead to phishing emails being sent to the whole database. Luckily, not a single account got compromised and all data is safe.

Everything is back to normal now but just for precaution, if you've clicked on the link inside the phishing email, please change your password and set 2FA as an extra layer of protection.

Dan..

You really need to be giving out Better advice than that..

data Breach's (no matter how small) can ruin peoples lives... !!

Good Luck to anyone with level 2 verification and above !

I honestly take no pleasure in saying "I Told You So"

This is a BIG DEAL, don't matter what Eddie (or anyone else) says !!

A Major Australian Medical provider was also hit yesterday, the hackers are already selling personal & sensitive details of Millions of Australians on the Dark Web.

They got access to so much data, even the Aussie Prime Minister has publicly stated that he's worried about his own personal details.

Stake needs to be completely open and honest on the extent of this Breach, to allow everyone to secure their personal details.

If the email database that was breached, everyone needs to Change passwords on every site you have used the same email as you have with Stake

Bad enough as it is....

At least Stake don't have (or shouldn't have) anyone's banking details (being a cryptocurrency site)..

Stop complaining. Yeah our personal information got leaked but you had a chance of catching a $2 rain in Stake chat. That makes up for it!kris jenner GIF by E!

This happens almost everywhere why should they be blamed??

And what personal  information exactly.. it's the email address  not the player's Govt IDs or national security numbers..

It's not an issue since they made a fast response and gave the players a heads-up on spot.

How can you be sure it's only email address ?

because someone from Stake told ya so ?

So if you guys claim they got access to X feature/server/services. How can we feel safe about our documents ID that we provided?

And it wouldn't be the first time that someone can send a mail with the domain of there choice without even getting any access to the original.

No nobody told me anything...

Even if it's beyond that what would  be the difference???

Bro as long as no financial  info is shared with Stake, the only risk that should be considered (if there is) .. will be getting  our KYC data wich contains full info of the player's... In such case  the hacker will benifet of selling  them as "Fullz" for carders to get online loans on behalf of American or European players so and would not care about sending us a spam email to try to log into our accounts) Which I don't thinkhad happened.

The response was too fast. Personally  I have no reason to get worried knowing how hacking and carding processes work, and what data are considered sensitive for such attacks.

Chill up nothing will happen more than sending  us some annoying  emails and links from time to time..

Sendgrid account hacking happens everywhere. And only email id basic information like name, address, date of birth can be stolen from it.

It's not possible to stole govt id or security number. Sendgrid don't have this details in it.

The only problem we will have is  getting lot of spam email from lot of scammers.

we can't blame stake for it. It's happens everywhere.

If we have 2FA every account will be protected.

I got this two weeks ago, the hacker had stakes sendgrid for awhile now. Never signed up with this email and I got two of them to two different emails. Idk I feel like this not the full story we being told.  Screenshot_20221110_001418_Gmail.thumb.jpg.83096bdd25c88f16d2af547b1ff02aab.jpg

You can be sure they're not telling the whole story. I'm surprised someone even admitted their Sendgrid was hacked, although it was clear to see.

Funny how they're giving away a bunch of free cash on twitter to hide the negativity from the breach. It's truly embarrassing, but of course people are lapping it up.

Anyone with a brain should no longer trust this company, one thing after another.
