nhoyasim101 Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Posted March 2, 2018 Hi guys, just to share with you this important email from stake, my daily routine is to read my email, and news papers, i receive a E-mail from STAKE community (in my spam) so i open it quick as i though that it another giveaways joke OMG i was little shocked the content of this email, it says that somebody from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam tried to hacked my stake account but sorry for him he did not succeed hehe. lesson learn make your account safer by adding more security like 2fa etc. thank you stake
Dan Posted March 2, 2018 #2 Posted March 2, 2018 A brute force bot tried to guess your password and that of many other users. This is a common thing in the crypto space. Some providers give you warnings, others don't tell you. As long as you aren't using a guessable password, which is something found on common password lists, then you are fine, and its just a notification. The bot was using vietnamese proxies which has resulted ina lot of random proxy services in Vietnam now blocked. They only got 3 attempts to guess your password, which clearly wasn't enough because they couldn't get it right If you have any concerns about account security, you can also add 2FA if you feel necessary.

Mrboss Posted March 2, 2018 #5 Posted March 2, 2018 I also Got an email that someone was trying to access to my account with a different ip address and Stake Team blocked it. The attack was on my Stake account not my Forum account. Am I rich? Lol O_O

If the hacker has 1 forum account from his own, he can collect there the satoshis from hacked forum accounts......

rack001 Posted March 2, 2018 #17 Posted March 2, 2018 Make a strong password and Enable 2FA and then you can just ignore the attempts as they will not be able to get in.
