Adamp35 Posted November 21, 2022 #1 Posted November 21, 2022 Can somebody please help me understand this word better? I play a lot of originals and it seems like almost 95% of my sessions end with me having to consider redepositing again. I usually play rows 10 through 14. Have always tried to do the ladder method but it never works out. Been trying consistently for about a year now. I understand how house edge works but how is something provably fair when all you do is lose on it?
jungl3 Posted November 21, 2022 #2 Posted November 21, 2022 That's the milion-dollar question. I wish I knew the answer. I reached the point you're at and then kept going, and going, and going, expecting it to change. It didn't, so I stopped. There are so many better things to do with free time, rather than feeding money into this black hole.
dimspirit Posted November 21, 2022 #3 Posted November 21, 2022 Provably is derived from the word "Prove" or "Proof" so, essentially Provably Fair means We can prove via numbers or statistics that the game is random and fair.
chicktokpro Posted November 23, 2022 #4 Posted November 23, 2022 How can anything with such a massive -EV even be called fair! I can easily prove to you that it is everything but that
vitonator Posted November 23, 2022 #6 Posted November 23, 2022 Well provably fair in Stake's case simply means that the result of the game that comes out 100% provable. This does not mean that you will have luck and win. If you for example take limbo and set the multiplier to 100x and your bet of 1$. The resulting multiplier of the game will be the same no matter which bet or which mutliplier you set which makes it at least fair in terms of mathematics. You can not say the same thing about any other slots or games on Stake as these do not disclose the math behind their games so you never know if the result is genuine. You can easily verify that using https://stake.com/provably-fair/implementation

sparpanda Posted November 24, 2022 #10 Posted November 24, 2022 It means that the casino can't manipulate the "randomness". The casino still have the edge and you will always lose in the long run.

majali7891 Posted November 28, 2022 #12 Posted November 28, 2022 Forget about the term itself and it's mechanism or the house edge.. The games are based on a RNG... RNGs are mostly unbeatable by humans unless you have "a large balance + betting with an extremely small amount of money + low multiplier". That would make you some return but still you might lose it all as well.. lol
