In February 2018, 42% of companies around the world suffered from illegal production of crypto-currency. At the same time, the main number of attacks occurred with the participation of three varieties of malicious miners.

So, according to the organization's report, the first place of anti-rating was CoinHive, which attacked every fifth organization in the world. Cryptoloot rose to second place, and third place was Jsecoin, which was attacked by 15% of companies around the world.

In Russia, in February 2018, more than 60% of organizations suffered from malicious software for mining crypto-currencies, which is significantly higher than the average number of attacks by crypto-munners in the world. It is also worth noting that the number of attacks by cryptomayers on Russian companies in February is twice as high as for the entire 2017 year.

"Over the past four months, we have seen a significant increase in the distribution of cryptomayers, which significantly slow down the work of PCs and servers. Once penetrated into the network, crypto-masters can also be used to perform other malicious actions. That is why now it is more important than ever for companies to apply a multi-level cybersecurity strategy that will protect against known malware and mark new threats, "says Maya Horowitz, head of cyber intelligence at Check Point Software Technologies.
