With the beginning of March 2018, something that many paranoids feared happened. Starting from March 1, the world's largest social network Facebook began to automatically recognize the faces of all the inhabitants of the planet Earth.

The new functionality was added for the most part to combat people who put other people's photos on the network, thereby violating the rights to privacy.

Already now, Facebook is fully recognizing people's faces in photographs, but not in Canada and the EU countries, because the authorities of these countries opposed this function, considering it illegal.

With the help of a new function, anyone can find photos with them even if the user who uploaded them to the network did not notice them at all. Representatives of social networks assure that many people, including celebrities, will help fight off violators of the rights to private life.

In addition, the new opportunity will appeal to users who have problems with vision, because now they can find out who is pictured in the photo, even if you can not independently look at the face. Face recognition in Facebook right out of the box is activated for everyone, however, if desired, you can turn it off to protect yourself.

In the settings for Facebook, there was a separate special section called "Face Recognition", which has the same name setting. To prevent social networks from searching for published photos, you must disable it. In the near future, developers are planning to expand the functionality of the new option, so that automatic recognition of faces with artificial intelligence and neural network would bring more benefits.

In addition, very soon the Facebook administration wants to start fighting with fake accounts using an advanced face recognition system. For example, if a person has a verified page, and this function is active, then all users who try to install on their avatar or add someone else's photo to their private album will be blocked for violating social network rules, however, a specific solution for this the account administration has not yet accepted.

In addition, just a couple of weeks ago, this largest social network in the world has started testing a new function designed to combat inadequate people who publish bad comments aimed at somehow hurting someone's feelings or views.
