Sorry Faris but what you are saying is plain false and misinformation.

EVERY big sportsbook settles all ML bets after a finished first set.

xxxfair is the biggest betting exchange in the word, xxx365 the biggest sportsbook, both settle retired bets if a first set is finished.

xxxfair even has a super good rule:

"Retirement after first set: Player/team progressing to next round is settled as the winner. However, the player's opponent is no longer a losing selection - you will get your stakes back. Bets where outcome was known will be settled as winners. While selections that no longer could have been winners will be settled as losers."

I know you are a mod and will probably delete this thread but still you should not write wrong things.

xxx365 rule, it's really easy to find.
In the event of a disqualification or retirement all bets will be void, unless settlement of the bet has already been determined.

Maybe you should check the actual site than just google because they have the same as xxxfair:

I played on marathon*** and 22*** they void tennis if player retired in first set, if match goes over first set and player retire your bet will be settled as win or loss. So, no sportsbook offer this is false info from farid.

Hello everyone!

Regarding Tennis match settlements in case of retirement or walkover.

In case of retirement or walkover at any moment of the match (no matter of the result at the moment), all undecided bets must be voided. Undecided bets could be all bets considering the result full time of the match (Winner, Set Handicap, Game Handicap, etc). All affected bets would be voided, no matter if they are winning or losing. This rule is stated clearly with no exclusions or exceptions. So moment of retirement/walkover does not affect this rule implementation.

Korda's retirement was annoying, we must agree, but this can't be affected from our end. It was player's decision, but bets must be processed and settled by the rules.

The reason for voiding bet is that match was not finished in accepted format. Player need to win 3 full sets to win the match, but that didn't happen in this match. Kachanov goes through the next round not by winning, but opponents retirement.
You can find Rulebook on the link below:

https://stake.com/policies/sportsbook

We don't have information regarding sportsbook rules from other sites, but we must follow the rules of our site.

These rules must be accepted and confirmed by each player during the process of registration and we all must follow them in each situation.

This was really unfortunate and annoying, but we can't affect players acts and decisions.

Cheers!

Totally agree with you. Your rules are your rules and every player should know them.

This thread was just about Faris's statement that no legit sportsbook would pay out. Actually almost all the books do. So spreading misinformation is not ok, especially from a mod.

The screenshot you sent is a promotion called "Tennis Retirement Guarantee"  not a rule.

Its is a "promotion", but its running the whole time. Same as on xxxfair. But just keep twisting it, the fact stays the same.

I've said this for a long time that Stake needs to change sportsbook provider. They are useless. Also promotions on stake for sportsbook are also extremely poor compared to other sites. Every offer they bring out is based on a single selection. Not if its part of an accumulator. Almost every sportsbook provider has accumulator insurance for example if your bet of over certain number of selections usually 5, and you're let down by 1 selection you get your money back as a free bet. Or the early settlement offers are valid in accumulators but not on stake.

But still we love stake and continue to play here. If things don't improve I'm sure something better will come along and stake will regret not being up to market standards in promotions for sportsbooks as people will naturally move on.

That's so bullshit promotion and you know it I play on this sportsbooks and it counts only on major tournament like Australia open.Stake don't have this promotion get used to it like the other 100 sportbooks

Dear, there is a difference between promotion rules and sports rules. I can set promotion rules as I wish. For example, I can make a promotion for tennis and set a rule like this: if a player jumps 76 times, your bet will be void. You cannot go to other sites and force them to make this rule their Tennis Rules. 'Cause these rules were just for the promotion.

If you actually read it, it counts for ALL ATP, WTA and major tournaments.

and @ Faris, I am not your "dear". I bet if I start insulting you I will get banned/muted real quick. Great power abuse, seems like you are the right person for this job. Still what you wrote is blatently wrong, and now you are even trying to degrade me. Seeing how you handle other stuff here I am not surprised though.

Calling someone dear is a sign of respect and sincerity. You are probably not used to this kind of treatment. You must be positive, because by acting like this, you will only hurt yourself.

Read carefully next time so you don't make the same mistake again. As I said, there is a difference between promotion rules and sports rules. This topic is closed.

Have a great day 🍀

So? You get your stake back as cash ( able to withdraw of course ) and your winnings  (which here you do not get) as betting funds for a 1 time rollover. Seems like you still don't get it right.

These are promotion rules, not tennis retirement rules on that site.
