The Japanese Internet company will acquire a 40% stake in BitARG Exchange Tokyo next month, after which a new exchange will be created based on BitARG technology. The whole project will take 1 year.

BitARG is already licensed by the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA). Invest in it Yahoo Japan will be in early 2019.

The plan of activity of Yahoo Japan
Yahoo Japan will acquire BitARG shares through its subsidiary company YJFX, a platform for making transactions in Forex. The share of 40% will cost the company 2 billion yen ($ 19 million).

After the purchase, YJFX will start developing a new exchange, including corporate management systems, customer relationship management and security.

One of the most important aspects is the legalization of the activities of the FSA. After the January cracking of Coincheck, when $ 533 million was stolen, FSA conducts thorough inspections and suspends the activities of companies that for one reason or another have not been registered.

Japan is also well known to use bitcoin, I also mention here that there are some companies who uses btc to pay to their employees.

Now good news is that Yahoo Japan is launching a cryto exchange this 2018.

According to Nikkei Asian Review, the Japanese internet firm will take a 40 percent stake in BitARG Exchange Tokyo next month, with a plan to build a new exchange using BitARG technology in approximately a year's time.

We hope to see more good news for Btc.

Without a doubt this is good news for bitcoin.  The more well know and legitimate places there are to trade BTC the better.  Hopefully, other government will adopt more sensible policies about Bitcoin similar to Japan's.

Thanks @Kate, topics merged.

This is huge for crypto! This is great news. If we start seeing companies like yahoo adopting involvement with crypto then it helps show that the crypto concept has real world support from successful large tech companies. I see a lot of huge support coming bitcoins way if this is true.
