What real life games you used to love playing as a kid?

Of course, It's hide and seek...

We used to give names to the places we were gonna hide this time, so that the person who is seeking is unable to know.
Once I was seeking and I searched almost everything, only place left was the creepy dark barn...
I was basically crawling to there and in the matter of seconds, every one of my friends(12) ran out at once... I almost had a heart attack...

I loved a game called "between two fires". It's a ball game where two people are at the opposite sides and trying to hit with the ball as many people between them as they can. People between them run from one side to another, depending on who has the ball, trying to avoid or catch the ball. There is also a "freezing" feature when you have to stay at the exact spot you were when you heard that word and just try to avoid the hit or try your best to catch the ball. There's also a variation of this game with two teams that are competing against each other.

Oh, yeah, and French skipping/Chinese jump rope, of course. 😁

@OoooooopssFHDefinitely enjoyed those! Used to build igloos as well. :)
@LOLOprentsYep! Literally from nowhere! You're it ahahah and everyone starts screaming :D
@EnaOh yeah! Definitely enjoyed that one! A classic! I just loved throwing the ball as hard as I can 3:)
No jump rope for me tho :P Girls only :)
I used to enjoy playing marbles tho. At one point, no one wanted to play with me anymore because I was too good, and I was smashing all their marbles in pieces 😈

Oh gosh love these topic as I had a lot of happy childhood memories.  Theres a bunch on my lists  . Especially whenever we visit our grandparents in the province.

Here are some of them ..

Hide and seek (which everyone knows) .

shatung  is a traditional Filipino game that makes use of two sticks, one longer than the other. The longer stick will serve as the bat and the shorter stick serves like the hit. Two teams are required to play this game, the hitter and the fetcher.

Piko or hopscotch 😁

@ubbey04Definitely have a lot of them! Those were the fun days!
I used to watch girls play hopscotch.
We had a game, it's called devil from the Mars.
Two guys talk with each other, who is the sales clerk and who is the devil(buyer) and the rest of the kids are eggs(choosing of which color and telling the sailer.
Devil asks which color he wants, if he says the correct color, the kid with that one has to run away. If he chooses white color, every one of the kids(eggs) has to run :)
@Noppers War between town parts with plastic guns and yellow circle "bullets"? :)

I remember, we let our imagination lead us, we had a game, I can't remember how we called it, but we were making little balls from mud which we stuck in the stick from wood and shot each other. It was dirty, but also fun.

yup i agree 'hide and seek' really is one of the most  popular game that surely passes on to generation to generations..i remember i got bruises on elbows and knees stumbled running trying to hide myself from the seeker.. Sweats all over after then having difficult breathing at night coz i have an asthma when i was a child.. but that didn't hinder me to be very active during my childhood physically, mentally and socially (got so many friends)..Its really nice to reminisce the good old days.👍😄

@DraganMiDefinitely had a lot of fun with mud! We used to make food out of it as well haha. I do recon that game. Once, I even wore a white t-shirt when we played that one... You can imagine which color it was in the end haha...

@Zamia2001Yeah. So many great memories... My brother had asthma, as well. I know how difficult it can be at the times.
I miss those days :(

I played rugby. This is our pride sport in South Africa. From the age of 5 years old  we all participate in rugby. Our school sport is highly competitive. I wish you can now see as parents alongside the sport field.

Yes I am 52 now. I enjoy watching our schools rugby, University Rugby, Currie Cup and all SA rugby. My sons played rugby. It's a South African crazy sport. Over weekends we actually go wild when rugby is being played. We braai then. Our Saturday evening get together with family. All watching rugby. Have a nice day

@Dblob666 Did it myself once. They actually found me after one hour ahahahhaha

@Ihartu19Definitely was king in my school for marbles :) One of my favorites!

@brunoliveYes. Whoever kicks out more marbles out, wins. But your marble mustn't be in the circle :)♥

@AkhandaI remember, I didn't even know what that is, I just heard about it and I used it as an excuse to leave the last class earlier. "Teacher, may I go, I am training cricket" :D

@PrimequinOooh, I think I recall this one. Can you explain a bit, thanks!♥

@mangulicaUm, I don't recon this one. Any explanation? :)
